It was a tough choice between this table and the Stiga and Joola. There were not many online reviews of the Head Summit and I kept going back and forth with the two better known brands. In the end, I found that you got a thicker top for only $50 more and it had all of the same features as the big brands. What I love most about this unit is the color. The red and black look amazing and the quality of the metal legs and the smoothness of the top is top notch. I am so happy with my decision. There is a reason this table has a perfect rating on it compared to the others. The box is surprisingly heavy, weighs over 200 lbs. Amazon's delivery team brought it inside for me and I was playing ping pong with my kids in 20 minutes. Assembly is beyond easy. I researched a lot of ping pong tables on Amazon. There are several options with a lot of 5 star reviews. I decided to purchase the HEAD table because I'm a fan of the brand and the table construction looked similar to other highly rated tables on Amazon. I also really liked the black on black design. It's very sleek and looks better in person! Assembly was very easy but it's a heavy box. I recommend 2-3 adults to get the table into your basement. The weight Amazon listed on site was consistent with other ping pong tables at this price. We have had this table for almost a month now. At first it sat in the garage still in it's box. I just didn't wanting to take the time to assemble it, but that was silly because I bought this model because it is supposed to be SUPER EASY to ASSEMBLE, and it was! It took maybe 20 minutes to setup, but I also read everything and check it twice. It also helps if you have a second pair of hands. The SURFACE is GREAT and the table is very EASY to RELOCATE once assembled. I keep mine in the garage and so when it's time to put the car in, the table has to fold and move. I also really like the net posts because as they don't move like some of the others I have used in the past. Overall, the whole family is VERY HAPPY with this table. It's been a long slow lesson for me, but I have gradually learned that I've rarely regretted buying higher quality stuff. There are cheaper tables out there, but after I put this one up and played it a bit, I'm really glad I went with this product. The shipping was unbelievably fast. Literally, I did not believe how fast it came. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and was given several time options to pick from for delivery on Saturday, the next day. I picked the 6:00 a.m. 9:00 a.m. slot and was shocked when they actually delivered the table at about 8:00 a.m. The table was very easy to assemble - it's just a matter of attaching the rolling legs - and it moves around very easily. I haven't tried the tilt feature, but it seems like that will be easy, too. It looks great and has a high quality feel to it. My advice, pay the extra $20 to have them move it to where you need it. The standard free shipping is just to move it to the first room in the house. This thing is extremely heavy and the large box makes it very difficult to move around, especially if you have to go up or down steps. Pay the extra $20! Great table. If you're going to have it a while, spring for the extra to buy this one rather than a $200-$300 table. I think it is well worth the extra money. ... show more

We just moved to a new house with a huge basement area. We have a big family and we've talked about getting a ping pong table. I did a lot of research and I found the best table for us. Having said this, however, we did not have a good experience with the delivery process. My husband took time away from his day to be at home for the delivery. Noone came or called as scheduled. I called Amazon and they had a specialist call me within 3 minutes. I was pleased with their quick response. Head, the manufacturer had nothing to do with the shipping process. I give them a 5 for the quality. You'll see a 4 star only because our overall experience was not great because of the delivery. When we finally got the table a few days later, the person that delivered was polite and timely. Yes, I recommend this table. This is a very nice and sturdy table however we were incredibly disappointed and shocked by how damaged it was upon delivery. Every corner was cracked, there were 3 missing pieces of hardware, a bent ball rack, scratches on the table surface and multiple other broken pieces. The package containing the small hardware was found to be torn open when we opened the box. The instructions clearly state that if anything is broken or missing that we need to send back the entire table (which arrives in a single box that weighs ~220 pounds). We gave this as a gift and cannot send it back or ship a new one given we needed to assemble it for our parents. This was very frustrating given the tables cost. We are hoping to speak to someone regarding these issues given we cannot replace specific pieces (not to mention so many parts). We went to a hardware store and bought pieces to be able to put it together into a playable form. If it had come as advertised it would be a fantastic table (easy to put together and store) but the damages put a damper on the big Christmas reveal.
