I have four HDMI cables going into my TV, but only have two places to plug them into. I got this HDMI splitter and it makes things easier. No unplugging and plugging in cables. I just pickup the remote and switch to what I want to use. I run my run my Dish box, DVD player and Firestick through it. It works great and is easy to setup. I have a tiny PC for projects that lives on my desk along with my main machine. Normally I can access it remotely, but occasionally I'll get it to hang and then have to plug peripherals into it to figure out what's wrong. This KVM switch can just live on my desk and let me go back and forth without the hassle. I'm using it 2k on my main machine and just HD on the little box and the picture is great. I didn't need the external power for my setup but YMMV. I don't need to switch often, so the simple button on the unit is fine. It was easy to set up, just plug things in and go. Plugged it in for my oled, works great for the first 3 hours as i was watching streaming with amazon prime stick, then after I switched to hdmi 3 to watch movies on my blu-ray DVD player, it kept switching back to Amazon prime stick constantly even after I turned the prime stick off. I had to eventually unplug all other sources to keep the movie constant without switching back. This is bizarre, not the best experience. ... show more

This hdmi splitter is eat to use and save a lot of space. I have my blu ray player, nintendo switch, and steam deck dock all connected to this splitter and can switch between all of them with no issues. Definitely would recommend.
