Hayabusa Goorudo 3 Gold Weave Jiu Jitsu Gi A gi to compliment your jiu jitsu journey. It's heavier design means it has the durability you need for those long training sessions. But its cotton material is comfortable to wear so it never distracts you from the task at hand. The Goorudo Gi is tough but also gentle, just like your Jiu Jitsu. Package Contains: 1 gi jacket and 1 pair of gi pants. Features: Heavyweight IBJJF approved design, gold-weave cotton jacket, 12oz twill cotton pants, Reinforced lapels, knees, and stress areas for high durability, Pre-washed to preserve color, Stretch drawstring, Stylized patches and design. Care Instructions: The gi is pre-washed which helps hold color and continue to maintain fabric integrity ensuring the same comfort and feel wash after wash. Keep in mind that pre-washed is different than pre-shrunk to avoid shrinkage wash in cold water and hang dry.

I have no complaints, however, the photo of the black/red option on Amazon displays red stitching. When it arrived the stitching was black (which I prefer). The red stitching is a little too ostentatious for a Gi that already draws a lot of attention. I’ve had several compliments and many members ask me where I bought this Gi. This is a really nice-looking gi. Got loads of compliments from my teammates and questions about where I found it. I’m 6 feet tall and weight about 195 lbs. I bought an A3 and the fit is just about perfect. I’ve worn it for a few weeks to both BJJ and Judo and it’s holding up nicely. I wash it in cold water and air dry after every class to avoid shrinking. This is my third gi and, by far, my favorite. My son has a Tatami Estilo gi, which I would like to also try (which also is very nice looking and durable. He’s had his for almost 3 years and it still looks great. He goes to class 4-5 times a week) but I’ll be hard-pressed not to buy another Hayabusa. Highly recommend! ... show more

This is one of the best deals on Gi's that you can get right now. If I didnt have 3 other Gi's, I would buy this in all three colors, especially the white one. Nonetheless, the blue one that I purchased is a good sturdy material and it is a dark blue, unlike most BJJ blue Gi's that are bright blue. My only complaint is that it runs a little small. I normally wear an A3 in almost every other Gi, but this one in an A3 is a little too tight. I wouldnt want to move up because it would be much too large, but it is a little snug. ... show more

    • Smelliest gi on the market! - no lie.

This would be a 5 star review if not for the horrific smell that has not come out or hardly faded after two washes. The fabric must be sourced from some third world whare house that uses a heavy dose of moth balls. Im embarrased to roll with anyone in my gym because of the smell. Im having to try and explain to everyone why i smell funny. Its ridiculous they would sell a gi with such a horrible smell. Especially knowing your rolling partners are going to get their noses buried in it. Imagine buying a new suit for work smelling like formeldahyde and having your coworkers and clients put up with it. Yeah, it’s that bad. I bought the blue and really wanted to buy a second white gi use mid week to avoid washing until the weekend but won’t until i know i can eventually get the smell out. Not counting on it. Otherwise this would be a very nice gi. Its heavy duty but comfortabe both on and off the mat. Im a muscular 182 from weight training at 14.2 percent body fat and 5’ 8” and an A3 fits perfect after a wash and dry. There was a small amount of shrinkage at high heat but not a lot. I let it mostly dry but not like 100% each time. More like 95% dry. Used warm water on the wash not hot. Air drying would take a while unless you live in a dry desert since it is thick weave and holds water like a sponge. It did not come with a belt. Its a nice looking gi that gets a lot of compliments in class. I would definately buy another if and only if i can get that wretched smell of imbalming fluid out. ... show more

Extremely durable, and feels great to roll in. I really like the pant thickness and the overall stitching quality. Aesthetically it looks great too. I'm definitely planning on purchasing another one soon. This is a pretty flashy gi, but you can definitely take off some of the patches with an exacto knife. However there are some embroidered decals that I don't think can be removed. I think the price tag is worth it if you're looking for a high quality gi. However due to the price, I wouldn't recommend purchasing this as your first gi. ... show more

I was so disappointed to see that the strings were coming loose both from the stitching and the patches. Better than expected. I’m 6’1” and 220-240 depending on comp. I always go a4 and shrink down. I wore this gi unwashed for open mat today because I liked it so much. Arms and legs a wee long but expected as not shrunk to size yet. I did notice oddly what appeared to be wear on the knees that I would not expect in one hour of open mat. I’ll be watching this. So unshrunk arms and pants a bit long and shoulders perfect. Has me a bit concerned about shrinking but non the less in the dryer now...to get sleeves and pants perfect I’ll deal with any shoulder shrink. I love the gi. More impressive than SYR ( I have 5). Fuji (I have 3) and my one Origin. Love it. Update: washed hot dried hot. Sleeves and pants are perfect. I wish there was about 2 more inches to wrap around my torso in the kimono. Same issue with Fuji I like a bit more wrap. More importantly I've worn this in two days at two different gyms... Had a guy at each gym pause our roll to comment on the gi, the color the weight the patching.. ... show more

The material it top notch, it’s VERY comfortable. The collar is VERY sturdy yet soft no chafing. I’m 6’2” 175lb normally I purchase an A3 or A2L size. Out of the packaging it seemed a little too loose, after two HOT washes and dryer hi heat cycles it shrunk to a perfect size for me. I do get warm waring this, it doesn’t breath as well as my pearl weave GI but it breathes much better than my old traditional cotton GI. It’s so sharp looking, the particular shade of blue is very nice. If only my skills could match how awesome this GI looks. ... show more
