This helmet fit perfectly right out the box, great features at an affordable price. I love the quality of the build and the beautiful design. The included tinted visor is great for sunny days but would recommend ordering the clear visor for night rides. The built in sun shades is a nice touch too, makes it easy to have a sun block without needed to switch back and forth from clear and tinted visors. I have had bad experiences buying helmets online, they never seem to fit as described on their fitting chart. THIS helmet? PERFECT fit!!! 2X is actually a 2X! Finally! Comfortable, sunglasses worn as well, no issues. Looks well made, lightweight. AAAA!!!

I really like this helmet. I have the orange and green obsidian mexican style looking dude and it's cool. The the drop down advisor is unnecessary when you have a tinted visor. The helmet sizes run small. smaller than any of my other helmets I have. But I got a 2xl and it works. it's a snug fit putting it on But once I get my head in there it fits very nicely. Material feels good on my face. Visor has good vision. It is smaller in size compared to like type helmets in width and length. Wind noise is on par with my scorpion helmets - meaning not the quietest but better than all other cheaper helmets i have used in many years. It fogged up no more or less than any other decent helmet...will buy the pinlock and try. 2 things i don't like.... 1 is the chin strap connects high on the left side of chin intead of more centered. Not a problem just wierd.... and 2 is the drop down visor lever is harder to pull than any other i have tried but again not a problem as i will not be using drop down visor on this helmet - my scorpion t520 fills the roll of touring helmet. In comparison to my scorpion r420 this helmet is .5 lbs ligher and smaller as mentioned. R420 fits me a bit better but this is great alternative that i love and got it for a killer price. And heck both are from cali. Yes i know scorpion parent co. Is in s. Korea but scorpion itself is in cali just like this brand. It's just cool and fun.. even my step kid who dislikes much of what I like , because he thinks I am ancient and out of touch, now wants one. ... for poop sake put them on sale again so I can buy him one. ... show more

Not only does this helmet look great but it also saved my son when he crashed his gas powered mini bike. My son was new to the mini bike and unfortunately crashed it at 30mph into a safety rail and was actually thrown off the bike. This helmet protected his head 100% and handled the impact with only a few scratches on it. No dents. Definitely recommend. Unfortunately my son is afraid to go back on the bike so this helmet will basically be decor for his room. ... show more

I thought color was funky but it was cheaper.. once I got it I liked it and it grew on me fast... the helmet itself is great. The inner visor works well with my glasses on.. both visors are tinted.. I thought that would be too dark but works fine In daylight.. for night I just use outer visor... clear might be better but I haven't had issues... no complaints on noise. Good fit. I'd buy and will buy this again ... show more

I purchased a size XL Hax Obsidian Series Matte Black & Gold full face helmet directly from Hax via Amazon. It arrived quickly & in perfect packaging. First of all it is stunning in appearance, an absolutely beautiful helmet that matches my black & gold motorcycle perfectly. The gold fin arrives off helmet, but snaps in easily. There is gold paint under the fin, so it looks good without it as well. The fit is perfect. It is snug, but soft. Slightly above average for wind sound. Easy to use quick-release strap. Box also includes a soft bag for storage or transport & can be used to dry buff the helmet & visor(s) without scratching as well. Helmet comes with a high quality mirrored & tinted outer visor that has like 4 or 5 positions to vent, plus a smaller goggle-like tinted visor that drops down when you push a tab on the outside... good for use in the day if you want to get some air with the outside visor open, but it is redundant if the visor is shut as it is too dark. But I just bought a clear outside visor from Hax to switch out for when I ride at night so the inside goggle visor will be nice when I'm too lazy to switch back. There are several vents that open\close. One in the front for your mouth\nose. Two on the top sides. All are mostly effective for cooling but I do get a tad bit of fogging every so often if I'm breathing heavily... clears right up with a quick visor release though. Inside padding is firm but soft & has all of the features you would expect. It is removeable if that's your thing. I just use a shot of Febreeze & it stays fresh as new. You get loads of style, but also quality construction & tons of features for a very reasonable cost, so I would recommend this helmet for any rider. ... show more
