This stand is heavier but I knew that before purchasing it so I can’t hold it against it. I used it all season with the cruzer bracket and it was very easy to hang and is by far the most comfortable stand I have used. The stand is also quiet and pretty versatile as far as what trees it can be hung in with the leveling system. I think if you give yourself some extra time to walk in to account for the weight of the stand you can’t beat it for the cost. ... show more

    • Seat adjustment screw is garbage!

All and all the stand itself is okay for the price however the adjustment screw for the seat is severely undersized and made of cheap garbage metal. Sat this stand 3 times and the screw folded over leaving my seat pointing down at my heels when seated. I saw other reviews before purchasing this having similar issues with that area of the stand but figured maybe it was addressed already. Given that particular screw eats all the weight of a person sitting for hours on end. I’d either change it out with a real quality grade 8 carriage bolt before you ever use the stand or look on down the line for something more stout. Especially if your over 140 pounds. ... show more

The stand itself is wonderful. Nice BIG, comfy and adjustable; appreciate the built in back support. The ladder is a pain though. The legs move way too easily to the point its is almost dangerous. Slightest tap will close them in mid step which is no good climbing in the dark with gear. They also hurt your hands, but gloves help with that. Stand itself I would give 5 stars. ... show more

The stand its self works great but as for the climbing sticks , I did not feel safe and secure on them . I actually ended up getting a climbing ladder for it instead.
