  • Good value
Very nice

  • Worst climber ever
Worst climber ever! Great idea, lightweight, quiet etc. but that doesn’t matter if it won’t climb a tree! The cable design too soft and spongy, grips everything knots, twigs. Wasted a whole afternoon with this thing. 5 different trees and finally found 1 it would halfway climb.

  • Where can one buy replacement parts?
The cable is to short snd flimsy. The “ teeth” look good but really are ineffective to grip bark. The seat looks good but is not workable in a set up situation. The safety straps are a good idea but really a hunter could only attach the upper strap for safety. A hunter cannot bend and attach lower strap, probably fall. The folding rails make it hard to attach to tree, especially when tilting parts to adjust for tree diameter. Some type of anti slip should be added to the foot platform for damp or wet conditions. I hunt in the light rains. Overall please improve this stand and create replacement parts. ... show more

  • Very picky on tree size
Stable stand, i like everything about it beside not getting into big or small trees and the carry straps. You'll want to get backpack staps for it. Big trees are hard to climb cuz the cable catches and small trees are not good cuz arm rests dig into your side. I like the folding and compactness and good straps and foot stirrup set up. Seat is comfy ... show more

  • Not happy, please do not
I have used climbers in the past and decided to get another so I chose this one. I will tell you this. If you are hunting in mature timber this stand will not work. Here is why: The seat and the base use the same size cables. The cable arms that is on the top and bottom section is attached by 2 brackets on each side that are welded on. But on the bottom section the brackets are welded 4" or so further forward away from the tree. Thus creating the cables to be shorter on the bottom than the top. In causes the base to stay at a more severe incline and never able to be leveled on a mature tree. 2nd: the 4 rows of teeth has an inch at each end that is squared off. The squared off end is the same length as the teeth. Again on a larger tree this square section is what makes contact with the tree not the teeth. It looks like this -^^^^^--. It's ok if the circumference of the tree falls within the teeth but on larger trees the teeth ride above the bark and the squares ends are what makes contact with the tree. How do I know cause I practiced with it 3 times and said there's no way Im trusting my life with this thing. I boxed it up and returned it. I think it's obvious this thing was designed by someone who never intended on using it. ... show more

  • Not great, poor quality, poor design.
The awkward design makes this stand difficult to use quietly. The cables are not long enough for a medium-large tree and when used in a smaller tree the arms are bent in too tightly. I'm 5'8" with a 36" waist and it's definitely narrow on smaller trees and again, the short cables make it difficult to use on bigger trees that would solve the narrowness issue. The angle of the arms is shallow when compared with a summit, which makes this less likely to lock in and more likely to come loose while climbing or positioning each platform. Any climber uses leverage to hold tight to the tree but this design has less leverage than others with a higher angle for the cable and arms. Mesh seat was too tight, and tangled resulting in me breaking a few loops to get it untangled. The cable locking design is secure but very noisy, with metal pins and a spring loaded clamp. Expect to make a LOT of noise using this. The security straps are a nightmare to attach to the tree because the instructions have you putting them on in a way where you can't get any leverage to tighten the strap down. Imaging trying to tighten a strap that is directly in front of you and having to pull the tag end away from you and around the back of the tree. It's just a poor design. Overall, there are better options that weigh just as much but will be more expensive. This is definitely not a good buy at three hundred bucks right now (Nov, 2021). ... show more

  • Very light stand which was what I wanted.
Everything was what was expected except that lower part of stand was missing the cable. No way to use until I figure a way to get a replacement cable. I'll contact seller first to see if they have replacement. If not then I'll have to contact Hawk directly and see if they have replacement. Hope so, or I have a stand that I can't use. ... show more
