So I forgot to take a before photo of my hair, but I have fine, 2a wavy hair that likes to air dry into long wavy ringlets, with lots and lots of frizz. Sometimes it dries okay looking, but most of the time it looks like I just rolled out of bed and didn't even brush it. I bought this relaxer hoping that it would tame some of the frizz and maybe help it to air dry with a nicer shape, and it did exactly that. I took a few pictures in different lighting, one was at like 90% dry, and the others were after I brushed it. I think it looks nice, and I am pleased with the results. I got some plastic gloves, sectioned my hair into 4 sections, and basically smeared it all over my hair, being careful not to get close to the scalp or put much on the ends, since I didn't want more damage than necessary. But to my surprise, it didn't damage my hair at all! It feels soft and has shine, it was so easy and quick I set the timer for 13 minutes and then rinsed it out in the shower and used the Hawaiian silky shampoo that's supposed to neutralize the pH and then used a deep conditioner for 10 minutes. I like that it didn't make my hair super straight and it still has some wave to it, but it doesn't look crazy anymore! I would recommend this product. ... show more

I'd like to preface by saying I have no experience with hair relaxers at all. I got the "regular" version and was a bit worried that I would burn or lose my hair so I did test strand a random spot and I didn't seem to have any negative effects at all BUT I'm sure it's only because I have no experience with relaxers, I didn't expect it to smell so bad and continue to smell after multiple shampoo rinses! I'm fairly confident the girlys with experience know this because I didn't notice anyone mention it in the reviews so I assume it is standard. (Skip the next paragraph if you don't want my backstory lol) I actually bought this product specifically because I cut my bangs just before the new year (picture 3) and although I don't hate the curly bang look, it was a hassle to maintain and style daily. Then I considered flat ironing them every morning but that was also a hassle so I decided to check out this hair relaxer thing! Besides the strand test, I've only used this once on my bangs for about 10 minutes total (not really an application time for such a small area) but during that time I was like flattening/tugging lightly the hair in the direction I wanted the bangs to go. The next day dried result is the picture 2 with rosy cheek filter. So not pin straight but nowhere near as curly as the before (picture 3). I wasn't going for pin straight so I do like the results. The final picture (picture 1) I included was immediately after my first hair wash shower 3 days later. Seems to still be relaxed after hair washing number 1. Will try to remember to update to include how it fares after a few more washes. Another thing, I got some on a part of my forehead without knowing and when I tell you it buuurned lol. I was pretty good with not going down to the roots/scalp, just a few mm above but I could tell it would have burned/itched if I had applied to scalp, like the heat or something radiating was obvious. ... show more

I like this product for me. It's great I had no Burns. My skin is sensitive and I've been 5 years without a perm. I was afraid, But I'm pleasantly surprised. No problem from this product for me.

This relaxer is the truth. Used it on my daughters hair and it took quick and did not burn at all. After blowing it dry it was silky smooth. Will be using relaxer moving forward even for myself. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
