My hair was dry and hard. I added a little bit of silk infusion and started to flat iron , and my hair is silky and soft and every step I take, I can feel my hair flying behind me my hair is only shoulder length. I needed to trim my ends in order to have the full experience.. I have a flat earned my hair in five years because it never turned out like this. It did burn a little did better on my scalp but I just sprayed it with my water bottle to soothe the pain and it worked. It does not stink if for the people who are saying that one of their bottles came opened already the silver part they’re looking for is literally attached to the cap I had the same issue and I already knew that was the problem just looking at the pictures. I just did my keratin taming few days ago at home. . Saved my money by not going to a salon for this.😆😀 My hair feels so silky and smooth. Definitely buying it next time.Though the instruction tells us to wash the taming product before blow dry, i did blow dry with the product in it and then straightened it. It worked perfectly for me. I’ve been buying this treatment for years and I absolutely love that and recommended this to every single person I knew. But over the past year, I bought it twice and I can tell it’s not the same formula anymore. It’s not as good as it used to be. I don’t know what they changed, but I want them to bring the old formula back. I hated my last two purchases, even though I tried to purchase it one more time directly from their website and still it’s not good. I have 4b/c hair. I was hesitant to purchase, but read the review from another 4 tenured lady here and saw a review on YouTube from another. I have also had salon keratin treatments in the past. People need to understand that this is NOT A STRAIGHTENER. It’s a smoothing treatment that helps with frizz and manageability. And to that point, I am VERY happy with my results. There is no horrible smell or fumes like the salon version. It didn’t burn at all and I found it easy to use overall. My kit had all the advertised pieces. The shower cap is a little small and the gloves aren’t the best, but fortunately, I had extras of those items on hand. I had great results immediately and my hair stayed straight for 2 weeks in Texas heat and humidity until I washed it. My hair reverted after the shampooing but was much easier to handle and manipulate than before the treatment. After the first wash, I conditioned, dried, and flat ironed (only 1-2 passes this time) and it stayed straight again. I’ll see how long it lasts. So far my hair seems like it’s still healthy and non-damaged. I’ll try to update this review if there are any significant changes. ... show more

I was so anxious to try this system. I ordered it on Amazon and not GK directly because of the return options on Amazon. GK doesn’t have a policy I like. I got it faster through Amazon! I figured it would take 3 hours to do. I have short hair, but I have never done a treatment like this on my own and thought I might have issues with the application. I didn’t. It was quick and easy taking around 2 hours or less including the straightening. I’m in love with the results! This would have cost $350 + and the salon.
