We travel a lot with our son, now 7 months old, and we love our standard Hatch Baby+, but packing that entire thing every trip got to be pretty ridiculous. Plus, it didn’t really solve our need for when we’re out and about locally. This does!! First of all, they totally come in gorgeous colors, but I really love that it has the exact same noise choices as their other devices, which I do think helps with consistent “sleepy cues”. I am so happy I bought this sound machine. It has so many different sounds and matched great with the large hatch that stays in the bedroom. This portable one is so easy to use and is great for on the go. This was a must have when we were in the hospital. It kept my little one asleep and the sounds are relaxing for everyone who has to listen to it. The battery on it is great and last all night and most of a day before we have to charge it. My son loves this little machine. I’ve been using to for the last week to put him down for naps and it have helped so much. We tested it out today when my husband and I ran errands with our little man. Our little man doesn’t nap in his car seat at all but today he did. He slept through a car ride and through the grocery store with this on. Pros: It’s small, easy to take on the go and it’s loud enough to tune out other noises. The battery life is really good, I’ve only had to charge it once within a week. Cons: I will say the material that it’s made out of is a little noisy. When it hit against itself or something it’s pretty loud. I’m not a fan of the loop holder it comes with but I’m going to replace it with a paracord bracelet. But overall I give it a 9.5 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone that needs a portable white noise machine. ... show more

I received an email from Hatch advertising this new portable sound machine and didn't even think twice before placing an order. I have the Hatch table-top machine and use it daily for my son. This portable sound machine has made stroller walks and car rides a lot easier. It has different sound options depending on your preference and volume control. I love how simple it is to use. Love the color, size, and ease of use. Right from the box super easy to set up and use. Comes with a convenient ring handle for hanging/fastening to things. Haven't tested it so not sure about battery life, but the included charging cable is nice and it charges quickly.

This little sound machine is simple but effective. It has several modes but I typically stick to the one that my baby prefers. The battery life is impressive - I can’t recall the last time I charged it but it has been going steady for several hours as I forgot to turn it off this morning. That said - an automatic shutoff to save battery would be helpful. The ring it’s attached to is a little weird, I feel like it’s a little unstable because it can easily un-loop whatever it’s attached to. Overall I think it’s a good sound machine. If you travel, you need this white noise machine. It's the perfect size but even as small as it is, it's still loud enough to drown out all the noises you encounter in a hotel or staying with family (doors, talking in the hallway, ice machines, etc.). Our baby sleeps about 11 hours a night and it lasts the whole time. However, it won't last more than about 14 hours, so we have to remember to charge it between all his naps so it's available for the whole night. Also the little hook at the top is perfect to hang basically anywhere. We hung it on the edge of a pack-n-play so the noise machine was outside of the crib (and he couldn't grab it) but still facing the crib so the noise was loud enough. The two negatives I have after using it for a couple trips (both very minor): 1. Every time you turn it on it automatically resets to the lowest volume. Would be nice if it just saved the last setting and started up at the same volume. 2. There are different noise options, but some are louder than others. We use a "rain" white noise at home with our Hatch, but the rain sound on this one is noticeably quieter, and sometimes it's not loud enough to use on the road. Not a huge deal because there are other options, but for consistency it would be nice if we could always use the rain sounds. ... show more
