Bowls are usually in short supply around the house, even with running regular loads in the dish washer, so these bowls were a clinch purchase. What I wound up with was a bit more than I expected, however. These bowls are SERIOUSLY big! You might not realize how large a 7” bowl really is, but it’s no cereal bowl, that’s for sure. In addition to being 7 inches in diameter, they are also 3 inches deep... that makes for a lot of fruity pebbles in the AM. While these things are certainly more than I need, that’s my fault for not paying closer attention to the listing. They came in two separate boxes, both with sufficient packing to keep them in one piece. The construction seems robust and aesthetically pleasing. They almost have a rustic homestead feeling being a weighty ceramic with the vertical ridges. These bowls will be great for pasta and bread, or soup and sandwich especially if you like to dip like me. I’ll have to see how they do with thermal conductivity. I love a bowl that can retain heat in your food, but not burn your hand. For $42.99 they are a bit on the pricey side, but still present good value for money. ... show more

These are nice noodle bowls, deep and look exactly like the picture. They are porcelain. They hold a decent amount and work well for soup also. The only thing I don’t love isn’t really the bowls fault; I’m so used to lightweight corelle, these bowls feel so heavy and bulky! Again, not the fault of the bowls. I do think though that these bowls will chip easily just due to their clunkiness combines with their weight. They’ll be great while they last though! ... show more

This is just a pleasant, solid set of salad/soup bowls. The perfect size, shape and weight for when you want something larger than the bowls that come with a typical set of dishware, but nothing huge. They are solid and thick - thick enough without being more like a heavy mixing bowl. They stack nicely, and so far I don't get the impression that they will chip easily. So this hits on all cylinders. While it might make a great gift for almost any occasion ... sorry - I'm keeping these for myself. ... show more

Perfect for small serving bowls. They match anything on the table, with a nice pattern on the outside. I haven't put them in the microwave, but they're definitely dishwasher safe. A little too big for cereal, ice cream, salad, or personal servings, but perfect for serving bowls (small family, maybe best for 2-3) . ... show more
