This set is a super cute addition to your pack and play for kiddos who are beginning to investigate the world around them. It includes 9 rectangular prism-shapes squishy characters, the majority of which are unicorns but also include mermaids and other characters. Each one has a different sensory element from squishy insides to crinkly ones to bells, and children will love experimenting with all of them. On the bottoms, kiddos will see a number and corresponding quantity of dots to help with counting and number recognition as they become more observant. Everything fits inside the play mat/carrying case, which serves as a purse and is big but not too terrible for kids. Long strips of Velcro keep the bag together and kids may need a little support when laying the mat flat to play. If you are playing with teething kiddos, the characters can be wiped clean but I wouldn’t put them in the washing machine because of the interior features. These are likely to look gross quickly because of teething, too, especially the white one. Also, please look for the silica pack in the box before giving it to young kids.
