This is good, value priced net. It comes in a nice plastic tote to keep it contained and organized and has a small repair kit. The net is made of mono type material and the weights appear to be made from steel. I'm a beginner, so I got the small 4 foot net and it is fairly easy to manage and cast....with some practice. I got the 5ft size and have always thrown a 8ft. Man, it is a world of difference and so easy to throw. The quality seems nice but wouldn't expect it to hold up to much if snagged.

I'm not an expert on cast nets, but I aim to become one. Bait is expensive! I like the locking plastic carry case for this net, I expect it will reduce tangles a lot. I'm a little concerned about the overall materials quality, and I don't expect a lifetime of use. from it I do expect to get really good at throwing a cast net and catching my own bait with it though. By the time that happens, I'll most likely want an upgraded net. ... show more

The Better Leader fish net comes in a convenient plastic carry bucket with snap clip closures. Also included is a repair tool and a spool of nylon line to mend the net if something tears. I got the 3-foot radius net to use in shallower water and more confined areas. The mesh on the net is about 3/4 inch. I anticipate only usable size bait fish and larger will remain in the net when hauling it in. The net seems well made and strong. I am anxious to try it out in the spring. ... show more
