  • Handheld Game Console
Style: Black
It is a very light and cheap feeling plastic. The buttons aren't that great and the D-pad doesn't respond (or feel like it responds) very well. It has a ton of games but there are so many duplicates that it is difficult to get an accurate number of individual titles. It does come with a nice case though which looks like it is better quality than the console itself. I guess it isn't that bad price wise and it does have a decent variety of titles that should be enough to satisfy most people's nostalgia. ... show more

  • Some annoying flaws
Style: Black
As is the case with many of these NES knock-off handhelds, there aren't actually 620 unique games to play. They begin repeating titles in the main menu around #250. There might be 300 individual games here, but nowhere near 620. It does have many of the NES classics like Mario, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, etc. Unfortunately, you'll see them appear numerous times while scrolling through the entirety of the game list. The D-Pad isn't all that great. It's usable for some games (Galaga, for example, where you only scroll left to right) but it really struggles on others. If you're hoping to hit a high score or beat a level-ending boss like you did with an actual NES controller, good luck to you. The controller here will make it much more challenging. There is no volume wheel. Instead, there's a single button that will toggle between silent and three pre-selected volume levels. The sound is okay when it's on. Unfortunately, when it's off and the battery is charging, you can hear a weird hum coming from the speaker. It's probably due to another quality control issue with the product. Every time you back out to the main menu, you'll have to once again select the appropriate language. I really don't know why this couldn't be selected permanently in a system setting. It's a minor gripe, but something annoying that tends to plague these NES knock-off systems. It's not a horrible gaming handheld; just another iteration of a ubiquitous product that is plastered all over Amazon's website in various forms. This form isn't any better or worse than others I've reviewed. That's why I'm giving it three stars. ... show more

  • classic is the word
Style: Black
This is for sure CLASSIC lol. I really like that it has a lot of games to choosse from but its just so old school that the graphics make it hard to even play, if you like classic games that gives a feeling of nostalgia, then this is for you!

  • Good for what it is
Style: Black
This comes with a nice case, really far nicer than the product itself. The games work completely as advertised; it is exactly what you think it is with the standard list of FC (NES) games, repeating every once in a while with some hack ROMs, etc. The unit itself looks nice, and feels good. Screen is good for a small 3-inch display. There are four buttons (ABXY) for virtually no reason, as all games are NES. The diagonal direction makes playing platformers like Mario difficult. Additionally, the top jump button would barely register. The D-pad is not good, as it is so large I found myself squarely in the middle, immobilizing Mario. It's quite frustrating. While it would be a no-go for serious gaming, for a few minutes' distraction for kids it's all right! ... show more

  • Nice concept, poor execution, crappy unit
Style: Black
Pros: 1) 620 Games that's amazing, So many old school games that I used to love playing as a kid I get to share with my kids now. 2) Portable 3) Rechargable, battery lasts quite a while 4) Cons: 1) The main unit is disappointing. The directional buttons are way too large compared to anything on the market previously, and you have to really press them down to move in that direction. Pressing 2 directions together is exceedingly difficult, like down right or down left, or to jump up right and up left. 2) The buttons on the main unit are also extremely disappointing. In Mario, run jumping is almost impossible 3) When you exit a game, it doesn't reset to the position you were in. So if you enter game 519, it resets you to game 1 and you have to scroll through all the games again. Each screen only lists about 10 games, so you're going through 60+ pages of games to get towards the end. 4) Power button is a bit difficult to switch on and off too Bottom line, I was really excited for this. Seeing lots of my old favorites, "Double Dragon", "Super Mario", "Galaga", but the unit being the way it is, you can tell it's made extremely cheaply. The games are almost unplayable due to the oversized Directional Keys and the Horrible A B X Y buttons AND I HAVE BIG HANDS! XL in glove sizes. I would pass on this one. Try something else. ... show more

  • Not great
Style: Black
The idea of this is cool, but the execution is not great. It's too small, and the buttons aren't set up very well. I would pass on this

  • Fun little handheld system!
Style: Black
Ordered this for my son to play some of the games I grew up with. This little system is pretty cool. It came in an Amazon box but the system itself was in a bubble mailer type envelope. This is great in my opinion because it’s one less box to deal with. The system comes with a hard case, AV cables, and an extra controller. It supports 2 player mode when it’s hooked up to the TV. We haven’t tried hooking it up yet so will update if there are any issues. The unit comes with 620 games preloaded. There’s a lot here including the usual suspects from the NES era so if that’s what you’re looking for you’re in for a treat. The screen is clear and bright. I do notice some light bleed from the screen on the casing itself but at this price point that’s to be expected and doesn’t detract from the experience. It actually looks kind of cool. The absolute BEST thing about this? A user replaceable battery! I hate having disposable electronics so being able to easily replace the battery is a very welcome addition for me. If you’re looking for a retro gaming system for yourself or your kids I would recommend this one. There’s so much value here and best of all it’s fun! ... show more

  • Fun to play
Style: Black
Comes with tons of games and fun to play. It does remind you of the good old days, but it is a little glitchy and reminds you of how far we've come with technology. Lots of fun old games to play, though. Keeps me entertained for a minute.
