For the price, this is a really good little value. The plastics feel decently sturdy, there's a lot of accessories in the box, the BL5C battery is actually on the high side of capacity for the type... and the unit is very responsive. When you flick power or hit reset, the home screen boots within a split second, and everything feels quite responsive. My only possible complaint is that the emulation feels a tiny bit fast; I'm not sure if this is a case of having PAL format ROMS on a unit running at NTSC rates, but loading up familiar games like Mario, the music and movement feel just a little bit wrong. Everything is a little sped up, the sounds are pitch shifted... but everything is playable, which is nice! I would also have liked to see USB-C on this, but for so cheap a unit I really can't complain about that much. One other thing to note for anyone is that the spare controller included is only for player 2, it isn't an alternative controller for Player 1. Its not mentioned in the instructions, although the sticker does say two in roman numerals. If you think the controller isn't working, that's because it won't replace the onboard controls for P1, so if you are trying to play coop with someone on a TV, you would need to use the console as P1, and the accessory will be P2. ... show more

This is basically an atari handheld with modern games. The screen isn't the best, but I think that gives it an old school feel which is kind of cool. It's got 500 games and I haven't even explored them all yet, but the ones I have are super fun. It's very intuitive and easy to use. Such a fun toy!

So I think this thing is super neat. You can connect it to a TV (if you have the proper input or adapter) controller and lots of old school games. The games being one of my issues some of the games are on here more than once.. soo 500 games? Kinda not really. But hey you got plenty of Mario and some other great classics. The media could not be loaded. This is a cool handheld game system that literally has 500 games installed into it. It is so lightweight that if you weren’t playing it you wouldn’t know you were holding it. It doesn’t seem to durable though. The graphics are fairly good and it’s easy for the kids to use. Okay, so I had all the nostalgia going on while I was playing this! You have the option to use the controller or use the actual game device to play. It is rechargeable, so no batteries to worry about. Seriously though, it has so many games! Like pretty much all the games that I remember playing when I was young. Disappointed! This throwback handheld is made of extremely lightweight plastic ( I think my empty Solo red cup weighs more). The screen is teeny tiny and terrible quality. Moving on, there are some very cool games installed so let’s try some out on the TV. Once hooked up, after some fussing, and sitting right in front of the tv, because the cord is not super long, I again was disappointed because the lightweight plastic controller does not work properly and many of the games are duplicated, so much for 500 games. I was looking for a low cost portable gaming system for my 8 year old that didn’t require wifi and this ended up being perfect. It’s old school, comes with a battery (like the older cell phone style battery) that connects to the inside of the backside of the gaming device. Came with a charging cord (block for outlet not included) to charge it. It’s very simple, super easy to navigate and has more games then I’d ever know what to do with. Endless hours of fun! I don’t know how anyone could ever get bored with all the different game choices to play… I love that it keeps my son off the internet and safe from social media while still allowing him to have fun playing video games. I deducted a star because more often than I’d like, the screen will go black almost like it freezes, when we click on a game to play and we have to turn it off and back on to try again. The plastic also feels cheap and not durable. The battery life is kinda short, it’s not like the newer age batteries that last a long time but you can play on it while it’s charging so it’s not a big deal for us personally.
