This fun Magnet set is great for kids of all ages. The included instruction manual contains several fun experiments that can be done over and over again. There are no consumable parts, so really, as long as you take care of it, the set will last for years. Some of the experiments involve items you already have around the house, like paper clips and such. I wish it contained a bar magnet. The pieces are well made, but the price is too high. I bought a damaged package that allowed me to get the kit. The included book of ideas is very helpful.

This kit has been a hit with my 3rd graders. My students are inner city kids from a variety of immigration histories. Many have never explored magnets. This kit has allowed them to see magnetic forces in action.

My daughter is 8 almost 9 and liked the magnets. I think they are a little bit young for her however she did play with them and had kept them with her magna tiles collection.

My kids really enjoy playing with this alot. And I love it because they're learning well they're doing it and they barely realize how much they're learning because they're having so much fun. It's a gender neutral toy so both my son and daughter who are 6 and 9 can play with it together.
