Honestly, I don't love the design for diaper changes. The zipper design seems backwards, I don't like shoving her arms through the holes every time, and there's just generally too much fabric that I don't enjoy dealing with in the middle of the night. I still gave it 5 stars, because my baby likes it. We have tried so many swaddles and this is the only one my newborn will tolerate. Im the year 2016 I had a baby boy. This was one of the things the hospital gifted me when I brought him home from the hospital and it is hands down the best thing I received for my son. Nothing would put him to sleep faster than these swaddles. Once I realized how amazing they are, I bought 3 more. I buy one as a shower present for every expectant parent. I got the lions thinking it would be a cotton jersey type fabric but it was a much looser weave. I think it would be good in a hot climate, but doesn’t add much warmth. Also, when you wash this swaddle, the velcro kind of comes undone no matter what I do and the seam flips over onto the velcro and gets stuck. Not sure if it is because my daughter is a premie but she is about 8 pounds. Runs big on here. She used to love them but now she hates being swaddled. Gave it 4 stars because she used to love it. But minus a Stat for running big. Other halo newborn designs run smaller

So this one in particular (I think color) is good, but my only complaint is the zipper. With all my other halo sleep sacks you can zip from the bottom up or the top down. This one you have to zip down. This makes night changes or putting a sleeping baby into it a little harder since it’s like a jacket zipper. I did appreciate that this was slightly cheaper, so maybe that’s why. I just didn’t realize that they had other options with the zippers. ... show more

I got this for my newborn son as an alternative to a regular swaddle because he likes moving his legs and arms while sleeping. I like that you can do arms in or out really easily and still have it snug enough to not worry about loose fabric on the upper half. It’s super cozy as a wearable blanket and we ended up getting 2!
