These bags are super cheap but good enough for Trick or Treating. There are tabs in the battery packs that you pull to be able to turn them on. The button on the side turns them on to 3 different modes (including solid, no blinking). I had to remove the batteries on one bag and fiddle with it to work, but they do all 3 work. BEWARE that the batteries are not very difficult to get to and are a danger to toddlers. The fairy lights do not come ‘assembled’ into the bag, so you have to thread them through the mesh on your own. I started to do that but found it to be too much of a hassle and just made a big loop to sit in the bag. If you want them to be attached to the mesh, you could probably use a safety pin to hold them in place (not piercing the wire of course) and in my opinion that would be easier than threading them because each light gets stuck in the mesh. The bottom of the bag is very thin and these are not rigid. I like the capacity, though, which is more than the typical pumpkin buckets. ... show more

So these bags are very cute. And will be awesome for my boys for Halloween. I like that it comes in a set of 3 because the price is great and also don't have to buy 1 multiple times especially when you jave multiple kiddos. They are very spacious and I love the lights at night, which will be great to have my kids seen by cars. What I didn't like was that they lights are weaved through the whole bag like it's shown in the picture. Just kinda clumped up. The kids don't care and like them a lot! ... show more

Bags looks like the images. However, one of them wont light up. If you wiggle the wires it will flash. I am assuming it is an internal problem from the manufacturer. The lights are just layed in the bag. You will need to pin them into the bag yourself.

I really liked these bags, they are sturdy, and large enough to hold plenty of 'trick-or-treat' goodies! The lights are a great idea, as they would help keep an eye on kids at night; however, there is no way to string them between the inner and outer linings--where they would not interfere with goodies being tossed in/taken out of the bag--without cutting the material and doing it yourself. The lights are nice and bright, but if they are left in a bunch (as the way they arrive), they don't really seem quite as practical. Still a 4 out of 5, for me! ... show more

The best thing about these trick or treat bags is the size. My youngest always runs out of room using the typical plastic pumpkin bucket & I’m confident these will be better. I was not expecting the DIY aspect of installing the lights. I was able to weave them around the top of the buckets & tuck the cables away, however, to be totally safe from pricking fingers (since they are sharp) I would need to sew them in completely. I filled the bucket halfway (as pictured) and it kept its shape, supporting the weight well. I think for once a year, these will do fine. ... show more

I been really trying to stay on top on holiday season before it comes so needed new trick or treat bags for kids and I think this is great. My oldest brings sooooo much candy so the typical ones always get too full and I have to bring big bag along. This are pretty large and will fit in plenty of candy, now there is a tab to start the light but I’m wondering what about next season, most likely need a new bags with lights. They are a bit pricey but when it comes to my kids I don’t have a limit and still would have spend the money. Cute option for this season, I like it so do they! ... show more
