The plastic handle kept sliding off. I did not like that but I pretty much liked everything else is small and you can get in places with that you can’t get into with bigger butt joint connector crimpers.

Have reordered these for different jobsites. I like the wide jaws which tend to not puncture the heat shrink plastic over crimps and invalidate the waterproof connector.     • A Focused Crimper At A Reasonable price
Item Shape: For Solar Connectors
I ordered this wire crimper to deal with a specific connector type. The Anderson PowerPole 45A and MC4 terminals with the open crimp tab ends. See the last image on the Amazon sales page called "How To Use" for an illustration of this connector crimp type. My current crimper has interchangeable jaws but does not do these crimps well. The Haisstronica Solar Crimping Tool does do a good crimp on these connector types. I have two minor complaints. Once the crimper is squeezed to start the crimp, the jaws cannot be reopened until the crimp is completed or the small lever between the handles is flipped. This is a standard feature. But I need to stop a crimp from time-to-time in order to reposition a connector before I am committed. I find the release lever very hard to reach to stop the crimp. The lever works well, it is just difficult to access. The second dissatisfaction is with the spacing on the crimping teeth. I find that I must take a pair of pliers and squeeze the connector tabs together slightly before using the crimper or the crimper does not engage the tabs to push them together in a tight crimp. It can end up pushing the tabs apart rather than surrounding them and curving the tabs in on the cable. It is an easy, but unnecessary fix to have to use the pliers first. That said, I think that these crimpers will be a valuable addition to my wiring tool kit. ... show more

I BROUGHT A MORE EXPENSIVE ONE THAT YOU HAD TO FIGHT WITH TO RELEASE IT WHEN IT WAS FINISHED. THIS ONE RELEASES WHEN DONE AND WORKS PERFECTLY. I USED IT TO REWIRE MY TRAILER AND ADD ALL NEW LIGHTS AND REWIRE THE BRAKES

My new go-to crimpers for heatshrink butt connectors and misc terminals. Have crimped a bunch of red and blue butt connectors, a few yellow butt connectors, and a couple ring and spade terminals so far (all heatshrink) with 0 issues, crimps look and feel solid and it doesn't damage the insulation. Pretty solid feel with a compact design, can't see any reason these won't last a while. I'll be using these heavily for the next few months, so we'll see.
