I've never owned a full quality beard trimmer. Heck, my dog has had a nicer grooming kit than I do. Until I got this. First thing I noticed before I even opened it was the quality of the box it comes in. I am not sure what I expected, but this was nicer than that. It says a lot about a product when they put thought and care into their packaging and design. It's the first impression. The quality of the materials used in this doesn't feel cheap. In fact, the whole shaver has some weight to it. Compared to other shavers I have used in the past, this felt sturdy. The blades are sharp, and the charging base is nice! The box comes with various guards. Oddly, the two largest guards are 20 mm and 30 mm (a full 10 mm apart) -- 22 mm and 32 mm if you include the maximum integrated length settings located on the bottom of the unit. There is a rotational adjustment to add 0.8 mm to 2 mm in length in addition to whatever guard you are using. The charging cable is USB. Doesn't come with a brick. Most bathrooms don't have USB ports on the plugs. I am a tech enthusiast and have converted nearly every aspect of my home to a smart home and I don't have USB in my bathroom. What I do have is an abundance of tablet and smart phone charging blocks that do just nicely. Smart move on the company to save costs and invest it elsewhere in the product, but something a buyer should be aware of. Any USB 5v charger should work fine. If you have some old iPhone charging blocks (the small ones included with the phones years ago) those are 5v. Charging time from 0 is about 2.5 hours. The device does come pre-charged though. At least mine did. When charging the display on the shaver lights up and tells you where it's at. There is a note about not charging it for more than 6 hours at a time. So don't leave this plugged in on your counter. One press to turn it on. A second press puts it in "turbo". A third turns it off. If you're worried about it coming on while transporting it in a grooming bag, there is an option to lock the device. You just hold the power button for 3 seconds and a lock appears on the display. Hold for another 3 seconds and it will unlock. There is also an included cleaning brush and blade oil in the box. The razor, like most shavers, pops off with a firm press of the thumb allowing you to clean inside the mechanism as well as the back of the blades. I recommend oiling the blades after cleaning. Don't use any harsh chemicals or cleaning agents. Just water. Using alcohol could damage the blades. Overall, this product for the price is amazing. Bravo to Yiriso for making a quality beard trimmer at an affordable price. Half tempted to get my hairy brother one for Christmas next month. Gods know that wookie could use a clean up. ... show more

Ordered this for my husband. Great precision, very strong motor, long use time after charge. Con: Takes a long time to full charge, so if u forget, not so great. You can use it while plugged in but motor strength isn't as great. ( I think the instructions say an hour an half to charge. ) It does seem to hold charge pretty well between uses if you remember to plug it in after using it, then unplug and use the next day or day after. Doesnt seem to hold full charge over that new "i dont need to shave for 5day covid" theory 😘 but... just remember to plug in the night before. ... show more

This hair clipper is fine and works as expected. It is also good for beard trimming because there’s preset adjustments for trimming between .8 and 2mm. I really like the prelabeled and adjustable settings for size 2, 1.7, 1.4, 1.1 and .8 mm. The settings click into place, so you don’t have to worry about it switching settings by accident while you’re using it. I’m used to just a finger slider that slowly moves out as you use the clippers. The closest you can trim with these is .8. This clipper can’t edge at 0 even if you flip it over and run it upside down. You’ll need to use something different for edging. These run for about 100 minutes on a full charge, on the non-turbo setting, which is a little shorter than I typically see with this type of cordless clipper. There’s also a turbo mode which is faster and more accurate if you’re using these without the plastic clips. It includes 6 plastic clips (size 3, 6, 9, 12, 20, and 30mm.) This clipper is a bit heavier than comparable products that I’ve used in the past. It weighs 8 ounces (half a pound). One thing I don’t like is that the charging port is non-standard. Although this plugs into a standard USB/A port on a wall outlet, the other side of the cord is nonstandard. It requires a proprietary figure 8 shaped charging port. If you lose the charger you’re out of luck. Most comparable hair clippers will use standard USB/C charging ports. The included charger is too short to use this while plugged in. It also includes a base that you can use to charge the clipper (both the base and the clipper require the figure 8 charging port, so you can use this with or without the charging base, as long as you have the proprietary charging cord. In summary, these work fine and have a number of precision trim settings built into the clipper. The YIRISO Beard Trimmer is slick. Very slick! It looks very slick and shiny in its charging cradle. It's so slick that it is hard to hold. It's too long and too heavy for a beard trimmer. It cuts great, is pretty quiet, and the various combs are easy to change. At least for me, it is awkward to hold. It would benefit from some "grippy" surfaces. I have another old beard trimmer that runs on AA batteries. It is not as powerful or as good looking as the YIRISO Beard Trimmer. It does not cut as quickly. I'm going back to my old trimmer because it's easier to use. ... show more
