This is a great product if you are looking for a gift for those crafty girls. They get to design and make their own hair accessories. If they are younger adult help is needed for some of the applications, but still a great gift!

I have a 3 year old daughter who loves hair bows and wears them every day. I got the kit to learn how to make unique bows at home so we won't always need to buy the plain ones from the store. I feel confident that I learned the basic skills and can now make bows beyond the kit. My daughter was too young to participate other than watching, but she enjoyed the finished products! This would be a great craft kit for a child in the stated age range (5-12) to work on independently. An adult may need to provide some assistance for tying knots and gluing. What I liked... - The kit was comprehensive and included materials to complete five entirely different bows, with some room to be creative - The materials themselves were good quality - The instructions were very clear - The bow-making tool was very convenient and helpful to improving the symmetry of the bows rather than trying to tie them by hand The only thing I didn't notice in the instructions is that the ribbon should be ironed before making the bows to remove fold lines from the packaging. I had a good experience with this kit so would definitely be open to exploring the other kits available from this company and would recommend it to others. ... show more

It’s a nice set. The reason for the 3 stars is the center plastic ring in the crimping beads came out when you pull the tinsel through. Tricky to use as the hook is very very tiny

I love kits like these. They make crafting super easy for young ones. This is such a fun craft that would make the perfect gift. The bows are a good size, they're fairly easy to make, and good quality. Definitely recommend. I do wish there were more in there.
