The low cut version of the successful Skuta Mid. It´s completely fluorocarbon free, down to the waterproof PROOF ECO membrane. A stable trekking shoe with a wide forefoot fit for extra comfort. Upper protection and AHAR+ rubber on outsole adds to the durability. The toe area has an extra layer of leather to protect you even in tougher terrain. TakeCare. Our “Take Care” logo marks 80% of our products and that´s because they are either bluesign approved, made from recycled material or from organic cotton. FLOURCARBONFREE. The durable water repellent action of our PFC-free DWR treatments comes from a hydrocarbon based, silicone based and/or wax based technology instead of fluorinated chemical. Irrespective of the ‘active ingredient´, all PFC-free DWR treatments used are totally free from all perfluorinated chemicals (PFC) (of course including both perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)), free from other halogenated substances and free from alkylphenolethoxylates, including nonylphenolethoxylates. The possible drawbacks are that the oil repellency and the durability of the PFC-free DWR treatments may be slightly lower than for a PFCcontaining option and therefore re-treatment for water repellency may be necessary at an earlier point in time. In all, we use very good, environmentally friendly alternatives to PFC-containing DWR treatments. Waterproof with fluorocarbon free PROOF ECO membrane. GEL rearfoot cushioning offers excellent shock absorption for the ideal stride. Moulded EVA midsole gives good cushioning and comfort. Premium leather from a tannery audited by the Leather Working Group.
