So far my husband tried the first two options and there is no different in what you choose, it works great. Sounds quality is really great, noise cancelling is probably 7/10 which is normal for this type of headset. Microphone works fine and voice sounds clear, but has a little eco when testing just on the TV, but he hasn't tried it for many games yet, so it might be just fine when you are not listening to yourself.
