    • Starting to severely weather check after only 4 months
I purchased three pair of these bindings to replace similar GV bindings that I had purchased back in 1996. They had finally succumbed to weather checking and broke first time out this year. Sadly the quality of these bindings has gone downhill. They came with some cheesy plastic material that you're supposed to use to fasten them to the shoes; the old ones had laces which I wound up reusing, cause the new fasteners are junk. Worse than that tho, is the fact that after only 4 months these bindings are already starting to show weather checking. I doubt that they will make it one year, let alone the 17 years that the previous ones had. It's really a shame, cause they are easy on and off and pretty universal. Used to be a good binding, unfortunately I can't recommend these. Update Feb 25 2014; I contacted the MFG; GV Snowshoe in Canada and talked with them about the defective binding and my disappointment. They gave me a contact number here in the USA to help resolve this issue in a timely manner. Had a very nice conversation with their sales rep, who agreed to replace all three defective bindings. They promptly arrived yesterday. Amazing! It's so wonderful to do business with a company that stands behind their product, and is truly interested in customer satisfaction. Have used these in the past and they are what we expected. They are a little tight so are a it of a struggle to get on bots but work well. I just leave my boots in them so I don't have to pull them on each time I use them.

I bought these to replace the rubber bindings on my snowshoes that used to be my Grandparents. They were super easy to install/attach to the snowshoes and easy to get on over my boots. I wear a women's size 9 and ordered a Large. Tried them out today and they worked great! So thankful to keep my Grandparent's snowshoes going! ... show more

for being a size large, these barely fit over my pack boots. I wear a size 8 mens. the laceings to tie them to the shoes were some cheesey plastic strips that I can't get to stay tight. They used to come with shoe laces for tie downs that worked much better. but paracord to the rescue, and they seem to work all right now, just very tight. ... show more
