  • Fixed intonation issues on my Chinese Frankenstrat.
I bought a pawn shop Chinese strat for cheap but the intonation was off. I bought a new bridge and tuning machines which helped, this adjustable nut just made the guitar sound better and play better. Being able to adjust the action from the nut side at will is nice too. The width of the nut was perfect, the height was >1 mm larger than the original nut slot (not surprising on a non-standard Chinese strat). I put a sanding disk on my rotary tool on low speed and shaved one side of the nut slot CAREFULLY for a fee passes. I wanted the nut to be snug without gluing it so I was extra careful not to sand too much. I made sure this new nut was square on the sides, covered it with some cloth and tapped it in with a hammer. Took about 5 minutes total. The guitar is more fun to play when it’s intonation is on point, this nut turned a pawn shop beater into something I can shred on. I’m happy I bought this, gonna go write some symphonic black metal on this beast now. ... show more

  • Suggestion to measure before purchase
In the description should be a note about measuring before purchasing. Also, if they have more than 1 size that should be listed (if it is not a selectable option). If there was a note about different sizes available, I would have checked out the 5mm nut and purchased that instead (as a note, I have already ordered the 5mm nut, so, looking forward to that. Anyway, fine tuning with the hex nut screws makes this a very nice option as a nut. A listing of sizes in the description would be nice, ie..... 3.5mm, 5mm, 42mm, 43mm, brass, chrome etc. Also, have this in black would also be a great option. ... show more

  • Great idea. Design & execution not ready for prime time yet
I have used Guyker Titanium and brass adjustable nuts for several years on around 8 guitars. I love them. This design intrigued me and I bought both the Tele & LP style. I like the intention, but the implementation was unusable for me. I have a workshop of guitar repair tools and can repair or modify almost any guitar component. I tried different methods of stabilizing both the Tele & LP nuts in the nut slots, but could not manage to do so. I went back to the 'original' Guyker adjustable nuts on those guitars. I really wanted to like this design. I hope they figure out a way to modify the design to make it as stable and useable as their other adjustable nuts. ... show more

  • Titanium guitar nut upgrade.
Beautifully crafted. Lower e string pinged & ringed after. Put a buzz ring to resolve. extended the sustaine, increase the clarity & pitch on the strings. Absolutely love it. Easy to install with patience and care. Also adjustable once installed.

  • Doesn't fit Telecasters
This nut won't fit a standard Telecaster neck without a fair amount of filing for both width and depth. It's also a little too long, so you may want to file the nut as well.

  • Poor quality control on size
41.5mm.... far too narrow for professional fit. Not 43mm. Others have commented that it's wider than stated. Poor quality control. Very disappointing quality considering price

  • Eh
Just like the title says, its "eh", its not really better than just using a standard nut and adjusting for height. My biggest gripe is having to file it down for bigger string gauges.

  • This doesn’t fit anything.
Too long for a vintage Stratocaster, to short for a modern one. Doesn’t fit a telecaster modern or vintage either. It’s also too wide for a vintage fender. If it was 2mm longer, it would be perfect.
