I know what you're thinking: "I should get the metal toppers with the set screw." I'm here to tell you I thought the same thing. They probably look better, even though they're quite a bit of money, they'll look more quality on my board and my pedals were expensive, I should just spend the money. I decided to try these before messing with set screws and metal possibly scratching pedals and these are quite literally perfect. They fit perfectly, they make hitting the pedal you're aiming for much easier (because you can basically hit anywhere near the switch now and it'll activate), they're sturdy and best of all, they're CLEAR. Why clear? Because some pedals have lights that are right next to the switch (MXR pedals are like this). With clear toppers, you see right through to the light and can tell when something is on or off. These toppers work. Definitely a big difference in Toe Tapping. The hard plastic topper should last as long as your pedal under normal wear and tear. Pros: Bigger target to step/tap on. Easier On and Off operation. 99.9% accuracy in taps. Durable plastic and snug fit. Color matching toppers. Con: Obstruct pedals On and Off LED light. (MXR for example.) This is good thing for those who don't like the Gamma Ray blinding LED lights coming from your pedals. I didn't get these for the look. I got these because of a nickel allergy. Now I don't have to put shoes on when I play an electric guitar or bass at home. They do their job and work great for my purpose. If you're wondering Jescar makes nickel free frets and there are nickel free strings, such as Ernie Ball stainless, D'Addario half round, D'Addario Bass Chromes (the Chromes for guitar have nickel in the unwound strings), and Rotosound British steel. ... show more

How did I go along without these toppers for so long? They really make my M-VAVE Chocolate foot controller so easy to use now with the wide surfaces they provide. The bag has a bunch of them inside and all of my pedals now automatically get a topper no matter what. They make it so much more reliable to press the switch you intended to press.
