  • Beautiful instrument and sounds great acoustic or electric!
Style: Cutaway
Very full sound. I know this instrument will last. Design and build quality is excellent, and recording through interface is perfect. I have struggled to record acoustic before but this is a great solution!

  • Just what I was looking for!
Style: Cutaway
Up until today, I owned 14 guitars. I now own 15. While I have several electrics, I mostly stick to my acoustics. Unfortunately, as I’m getting older, my hand strength isn’t what it used to be, so I began looking for a guitar that was easier to play without breaking the bank. I finally settled on the Guild F-250ce. I just received it today. My only complaint is that once I picked it up, I simply couldn’t put it down! It has everything that I was looking for. The tone is wonderful and really highlights the lows. I played it both with and without an amplifier as well. The Fishman pick-up sounded great. The fit and finish is a thing of beauty. Most importantly, the playability is just what I was hoping for. I played it for hours today with very little hand fatigue. For the price, the guitar is a fantastic bargain. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Almost impossible to play as it came
Style: Cutaway
The guitar looks beautiful and I was very happy until I realized the strings had never even been tensioned....meaning the neck could easily warp. So I got to work on it, I'm very familiar and used to setting up acoustic guitars. First the sound hole hex key adjustment is one I've never seen...bizarre...they provide a very long and difficult to use adjustment hex....and it barely works. This guitar came with action so high it could not be played really. I play out fairly regularly and have some very high end guitars, even affordable Alvarez guitars I have came setup and easy to adjust. I have no idea right now what I was do. I know a good luthier and will get his opinion. I'm extremely disappointed. This instrument is not well thought out in terms of design of the neck tension system at all and the copy I received had very little care before it was taken out of a very beaten up box...perhaps it was one sent back. But this is unplayable. I may send it back, I wanted a jumbo that I could take out to play and not worry about a super expensive guitar...I've seen half the price guitars that are better than this one...but the finish etc is nice...what a shame the rest isn't. ... show more

  • excellent sounding playing guitar best for unplug
Style: Cutaway
this guitar submits a clear balanced projection is a very true sounding guitar is not too loud or over bearing for its size it sounds like a regular dread sized guitar not too much overtone frequencies plays calm clear plays and sounds between a mahogany and a maple guitar i think its the arched back and jumbo size gives it a tad bit of warmth than a normal maple body notes frequencies are very true sounding like every chord strum sounds pretty perfect and might be the way it vibrate gives it a good balanced very good for this price range not really a woody sounding cause its maple a pretty fantastic playing guitar right out of the box though didnt need to do anything to it and chords notes and frequencies and volume is pretty great for unplugged and tad of warmth and quite clear sound in my opinion this guitar could compete with a north american made guitar just the way it plays and sounds and plays fantastic for guitars they make now not really fast playing guitar good for strumming cause the action is kind of high but its good for practicing plus it balances out the sound the of the timing and makes the guitar play really good and vibrate good to give calm good balanced pretty perfect good sound for notes and such for guitar this price stays in tune really really well can play couple songs without retuning and very consistant guitar also because of that ... show more

  • A Good Guitar with Cheap Tuners
Style: Standard
The guitar is a good one and I'm glad to have bought it. It arrived quickly and, though the box was a little dinged up, the guitar was in perfect condition. It has a nice, deep sound and the setup was good. Two of the strings were a little corroded, so I changed them. In doing so, I noticed that the tuners were pretty marginal. A couple of the gears were sloppy and the bushings almost fell out. The headstock appears to be drilled for 3/8" (10mm) tuner barrels, which is standard for cast tuners. However, these are 1/4" post open back tuners. The holes in the headstock are way too big for the tuner posts and the bushings are loose. My next step will be replacing the cheap Guild tuners with a nice set of Grover Sta-Tites and some tuner bushings designed to fit 3/8" holes. The plastic bridge pins were also a little bent, so I'll put a new set of Waverly pins in while I'm at it. To be clear, the instrument tunes up well and plays well. I'm planning to upgrade it, not fix some deficiency. ... show more

  • . Thinking about returning it!
Style: Cutaway
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely no quality Control from gulid. Strings buzz on fret 5 and above. Unplayable upon delivery. My experience will be eaither return it or take it to my luthier to set it up. TBD!

Love that Jumbo size guitar sound. Although one thing I would change is the tuners...
