    • Easy to put together and sturdy
It took 30 minutes to put together and get up in the tree. Is quite sturdy I did use my own straps when attaching to the tree for a bit more concealment. Deer walk right by it coming into the plot and have already taken 2 from it would recommend.

I needed a shorter stand to fit in a few spots and this one works. I am 6'2" and 245 pounds, so it is a little tight. You have to slide under the shooting rail since it is not long enough to pull down once you get in it. The bottom part of the seat slips below the rail sometimes. This is a decent economy stand, its not a heavy duty stand, but its fairly comfortable, and its super easy to put up due to its lighter weight. With that said...this stand is the EXACT same stand as another no name stand that you can also buy on amazon. Guide Gear just rebrands the stand, and rewrites the instructions. Same bolts, same parts, same seat, same everything, just rebranded. Id suggest saving yourself a few bucks, and buying the SAME stand, that doesnt say "guide gear" on it. ... show more

    • Stand will be good for smaller hunters.
I hunt long enough to get 2 or 3 deer in the freezer; so I didn't want to spend $250+ on another stand. The stand appears to be good quality. I am 6'4 225 lbs and I had no issues with the stand supporting me. It is a tight fit, and as others have stated - the shooting rail is a pain to get up and down around your body. Also, stand is just wide enough to fit in, but it does seem like it will be comfortable to hunt in. If you're a larger hunter (over 5'10") and plan on hunting a lot; you will probably want a larger stand platform. ... show more

I’ve sat in a few different stands and while this one is not the nicest, it is good for the money. It is comfortable and sturdy, however I am a thin guy at only 140 pounds, so that might be a factor in why it works for me. Some reviewers complained about assembly instructions, but my son and I were able to put it together in about an hour and this was our fist time assembling a strand. ... show more

    • So Far So Good - Easy Assembly
This stand went together in about an hour for me. I haven’t hunted out of it yet, so time will tell if it squeaks, but with the plastic bushings installed that it comes with I’m pretty confident it’ll remain quiet. Giving my spot a few days to rest after setup and then I’ll be at it.
