These are not for e46 models. Do not buy if you have a e46. Axle rod itself is a half inch in diameter smaller than original. Splines ate off just enough.

Had this part on my 2000 323it. Install went well, but it broke very quickly. The outer cv let go and I can’t get a response back on the “limited lifetime warranty”. My part should be covered considering the vehicle only saw normal driving conditions. I am writing this review in hopes that they will actually want to make things right. ... show more

couldn't figure out how to angle it in, so i had to loosen the knuckle to fit it in and after that everything lined right up.

According to GSP's own website, this shouldn't fit my vehicle (2006 E90 325i sedan), but it did. Perfectly. Usually when Amazon says it will fit, but the manufacturer says it won't, it doesn't. So far so good with 250+ miles later and not a single issue to report (I've done some hard acceleration tests, along with hard cornering as well). I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't have that nag in the back of my head wondering why GSP doesn't think this fits my car. ETA: The OEM 12 point nut on the end of the driveshaft for my vehicle was 30mm, the nut supplied with this axle is 32mm. I've looked around and other than another review on Amazon that also says this, all I found said my particular axle nut should be 36mm. It was not, but at least I now have a 36mm impact socket in case I ever need one. ... show more

A 30 mm 12 point socket is needed for the original nut removal. A 32 mm 6 point socket is needed for the new nut. I hope this is useful, I couldn’t find the information anywhere.

Worked out for now, but not to happy with the screw and nut that hold the tire on cause it’s not the same size as original and no indentions to lock it on. Don’t get why it would be a different size.
