These are great for 4 people. the handle takes a second to understand but it’s easy enough. I would keep the nested pot in something so the handle hook doesn’t rub off the coating of the large pot.

Plates felt too small, and food slid all over like it was on grease. But this seems like a setup that would work best for hikers. Not a good camp set, too awkward for a site, but would be excellent for hikers

    • This is all you need!
I love this! In fact when we move every 2 years I usefully pack up a few things from my kitchen into a box to use while we are waiting on all our belongings, in the future I will just be using this. Back to camping though. This is all you need. It has everything I need for cooking and doing dishes. With 2 pans, 1 skillet, lids, plates and cups the only thing left we need to pack is silverware. I use the large pot to heat water for dishes and the cloth case filled with water to rise and it even makes dishes a breeze. I do still use paper plates instead of the plastic because we then use them to start our fire, but I like having a couple plastic ones around for general use. The same goes for the cups we use water bottles most of the time but it's great to have a few cups, we usually use them for snacks. The only thing I wish it included was some silverware. I found some REI silverware that I can fit in the kit as well as salt and pepper. - Highly recommend! ... show more

Compact design makes it great for camping, even as a four-person design. Fits in a milk crate with room to spare for my camp stove and cooking utensils - the pots fit camp stoves perfect. Comes with sealable internal containers, which is great for carrying dehydrated foods, herbs and nuts, or anything else used for cooking. What used to take up a huge amount of space in my tent camping gear now fits in this tidy little bundle! This set takes up about a third of the space as all the individual items we used to pack for four people to cook and eat with. My only complaint is that the mugs- whilst nice to drink from- are very hot on the outside with water strait for a whistling kettle or coffee from a percolator. ... show more

This set rocks. Light weight, sturdy and well built. The dimensions are just right for a backpacking family of four that distribute the weight or camping responsibilities. I saw other reviews and recommendations about purchasing another GSI Outdoors N-Form Pot Gripper..so I did and am glad for it. Is it really necessary? No. But it is convenient. I have used this set on my Coleman stove and on my Jet Boil Flash (with pot stand). Works extremely well and heats fast and evenly. As with other posts, if you don't read the instructions that tell one not to use the lid with the frying pan or over a camp fire, I am sure the lid will melt. I haven't had any issues with the lids. Would definitely recommend this product!!! Update: I have used this set probably 15-20 times now. Boiled water with the lid on for spaghetti...heated up the spaghetti sauce in the smaller one with the lid on. No issues with the lid melting. No issues with clean up either.
