  • Makes a camp morning even better
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
This percolator makes it simple to add a cup of coffee to everyone’s mug and get a day started campsite started off right. It is dead simple to operate, just but some water in and some coarse grounds in the basket and add it to a stove (recommended instead of a fire though that can work good). The handle gets warm but not too hot to touch. There is nothing fancy about the output, so use some good beans, but the design is an iconic addition to a camping setup. It is bulky, so it’s easiest with car/RV type camping and may be a bit too big to put in any backpack but totally possible to lash it to the outside of a pack if that’s your style. ... show more

  • Makes great tasting coffee
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
I have to say, I was a bit intimidated by this percolator at first. I wanted to have something to brew coffee on the gas grill if the power ever goes out again. This coffee percolator is great so far. Got it today and made the best tasting coffee I have ever had. It did boil over but that was my fault because I had the heat too high. After I turned down the heat a bit it worked just fine. I used no filter, I just put the coffee into the basket and the water in the pot. I’m pretty sure the people that had problems with it overflowing or not properly percolating were not following the directions that were included . Water should be under the basket, not higher. I just might use this more than I thought. Don’t hesitate, buy this one. It’s reasonably priced and very good quality. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Takes a little while to master, but that's nothing ...
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
Takes a little while to master, but that's nothing to do with the product. The water needs to gently boil in such a way that the percolator strainer basket isn't overcome with water coming through the tube. There should be a gentle spurt every couple of seconds that seeps down through the basket strainer/grate on top. If it percolates too fast, the water accumulates on the strainer faster than it can seep through the grounds and out the bottom. As the grounds become water-logged, they expand, which pushes the strainer off the top. The grounds then fall into the water below and make the brew bitter (and obviously, full of grounds). I'm not a bright man and it took me 4-5 brews to get it correct. Even knowing my shortcomings in the intelligence area, I didn't give up even at brew number 4, and it eventually worked out okay. I just kept turning the heat down until I got the right ratio, and accepted a longer brewing time (maybe up to 12 minutes). ... show more

  • Good coffee pot but chipped
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
I love the taste of percolated coffee and once I figured out how to use it the best way it makes excellent coffee. The basket is too small and so are the holes. The best way to make great coffee is to not use the basket and to put five heaping scoops of coffee straight into the water. Bring it to a boil and turn it down to low and slow boil for another 5-10 minutes. Pour the coffee into your cup using a strainer. Strong and full of flavor. Mine was delivered with a chipped spout and living near the beach it is rusting and probably won’t last. ... show more

  • A loose bracket connects the top,
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
A loose bracket connects the top, causing it to slide down the handle. This increases the risk of dropping the pot and burning oneself, so to be safe, it requires two-handed pouring. The vendor also requires the product to be returned unused and may charge a restocking fee. I am not in agreement, as I purchased and requested the return within 7-8 days of receipt. An oversite from the vendor. ... show more

  • Very cheap materials
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
This coffee pot is not made well. The top won't stay attached to the handle and overall very poor quality materials. It will work for me as I don't use it a lot.

  • Makes a good pot of coffee if you use a regular grind ,not for fine ground
Color: Blue Size: 12 cup Pattern Name: Coffee Pot
My coworkers and I wer out on strike for 3 weeks this pot came in handy. We used it not just for coffee but we heated up water in it to wash pots and utensils. We had a fire going most of the time so we just put it over the coals. If th flames weren't too high directly in the fire. Ours came all chrome and I usually put 2 - 16.9 oz bottles of water in it with around 3 tablespoons of coffee. Simple and very effective. ... show more
