This bubble wrap is really made for protecting fragile items during the packing, shipping, and moving. It is great for many fragile items that really need to be bubbled up. So this basically works like air pillows that put air in them with a machine but in this instance you do it manually with an air pump. This does include an air pump for you so you do not need to worry about getting one from somewhere. It may be cumbersome to keep pumping air into it every time you want some bubbles so I would not recommend to anyone with arm problems or anything that would prevent you from doing this. The bubble is really firm when blown all the way, this will absolutely protect glass if you pack it correctly and tightly. I have sent four glass cups from the east coast to the west coast and the person received it fully intact! These are very great quality bubble and I would recommend to anyone that is looking for fragile item packing material. The price is a bit high for the amount that you get but it is of quality and you will use it only for the fragile items, in my case. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for some quality bubble filler for shipping or moving fragile items that you want to keep in one piece. ... show more

    • Easier than expected & effective packaging - no expensive machine required!

I own an online store, so safe efficient packaging/shipping is my top priority. I love trying out new products that look like they could do a good job with helping me get my breakable products safely to my customers. I have re-used this type of packaging for years and know if I use them right, they work great. I have always been interested in getting some of these new, but I always thought you had to have some expensive machine to fill & seal them - apparently not all of them! I personally think they are the most effective to line the inside of the box, so the wrapped item has an extra layer of protection. I love that you can just fill a sheet with air from a small hand pump (included) and within seconds, you have a nice sheet of air cushioning for your package. They seem to be a good thickness of plastic - not the super paper-thin plastic but not thick & heavy either. The size of each sheet is a good size - not too big or too small, depending on the size item your packaging. There is a little learning curve. I didn't fully understand how the air wouldn't just go out the end, so I rolled it & put the clip too far in, so the end bubbles didn't fill but it was easy to adjust and add more air. I still don't fully understand the physics of how the air stays in without any sticker or adhesive but its great! I also like that you can add as much or as little air as you want. There is a little bit of a learning curve and doesn't always properly fill all the pockets the first try - I have had to frequently maneuver the air pump nozzle to a specific area to get everything inflated (which is a little annoying and I don't understand why it does that about half the time). As an online seller, I ship out packages myself almost every day, so when I saw this, i really wanted to give it a try. I have to say, this item delivers on it's promise. The value I see in this is that you can use as little air as you want, or you can use the maximum amount of air, while also using just the right amount of material for what you are shipping or packaging up. Seems pretty durable to me when I gave it some nice hard squeezes to see if it would pop or air would leak out, and nothing happened. It should be more than sturdy enough for any shipping you need it for. Using it was pretty simple too, and actually easier than I expected. I personally just sort of held the corner with my elbow while I pumped at the other end, but a clip would be much easier and better, like the directions say. I expected this item to flop but was pleasantly surprised at how well it actually works. This is probably something I will be adding to my packaging materials supplies since I think it will come in handy quite often. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was unsure of what to expect with this. I have always ordered prefilled air packets, but they take up so much space. With these, I can tear off a section and pump it up in less than a minute. It comes with detailed instructions to make it super easy to do. The bubble wrap has perforations every foot or so. You do need to remember to clamp one end of the wrap closed when filling from the other side. It's mentioned in the instructions. I was afraid it would deflate when unclipped but it does not. Separating the plastic where the pump has to be inserted was the most difficult part (and it wasn't hard at all once I did it a few times). The pump is very easy to use. I was able to put a lot of pressure on the inflated wrap and it still felt very secure. When inflated it is about 17"x12". It's very flexible and will be great for the mugs I ship. I'm so glad I decided to try this. It has already saved so much space at my shipping station. ... show more

It's easy to accumulate a supply of packing materials just by salvaging from items you receive. The main issue is that they take up a lot of storage space. I was eager to try these out as storing them in flat sheets pretty much eliminates my problem. I'm pleased to report that they work well. You can create as large or small of a sheet as you need. All that's required is some scissors and a binder clip to hold the other end closed while you pump them to final size.
