  • Can’t make it for less
Size: 1996-2006 Style: Lower Windshield
I work for a metal fabrication shop with a CNC plasma table and plenty of sheet metal forming tools, and I wouldn’t even bother trying to make them myself considering the price and construction of these brackets. They fit perfect, they’re constructed of a heavy gauge steel so they aren’t flimsy, and they’re powder coated. Even if the coating flakes off, these are still a great deal and every bit worth the price. ... show more

  • Easy install, kinda flimsy
Size: 1996-2006 Style: Lower Windshield
They're easy to install and really not a bad product. But they tend to wobble a bit independently of the hood itself which they're bolted to. They're kinda flimsy. They won't break easily so don't think that, but they do wobble

  • BE AWARE! READ THIS FIRST! Good Brackets.. But.... Warning!
Size: 1996-2006 Style: Upper Windshield
First off, Great design in brackets.. They are designed to be pretty sleek and follow the curves so to speak of your vehicle keeping your light bar close to the roof/windshield. I bought these brackets as I thought this was gonna be a "Easy" or "easier" than other brackets and especially the cheap, quirky looking ones that usually are included with lightbars.. So I figured/assumed this: "These brackets were made for my SUV, so I wouldnt have to worry about them not fitting, they would be perfect and a easy install".. Well I was wrong.. These are good brackets dont get me wrong.. But.. with a 52'' light bar.. and my 2003 GMC Yukon, although I got it installed.. It was off a bit, and there is nothing I can do about that.. IF these brackets were advertised as for a "51" light bar.. They would be dead on.. at least for my Yukon.. Its like the brackets are "pushed out" by my light bar.. so they dont line up perfectly.. Now this isnt anything soem "lock tite" , "JB Weld" "Super strong adhesive" can't solve.. If you look at my pics you will see the sloppy glue - I added this as just extra security in keeping the lightbar secure as I only have the ability to run 1 bolt on each side of the bar and to keep the lightbar firm in the direction I want it pointed.. Well thats alot to ask of 2 thin bolts with no real "clamping" or any of the things they put On specialty screws that cause friction under pressure keeping things like "light bars" and such in place.. Sorry if I cant explain that right. Just imagine a SCREW with a Washer welded on it.. and the Washer had the texture of sandpaper.. This is what I mean! So anyways.. Brackets are a good design, they are strong, I'm giving them 3/5 stars because there inst any real heads up or warning of possible fitment issues - I just kinda assumed these would be perfect and "just for me" .. But they are more so "Can be used for me too" . People need to understand that these can pretty much fit ANY Size light bar.. Its true! But.. . Every vehicle is different.. and where you mount these brackets.. IS kinda a BAD PLACE for GM Vehicles.. WHY? Because now my door frame leaks air, I can hear wind while driving as the rubber door seal is no longer sealed.. Also.. My door is under pressure when closed.. The bracket has caused my door to not beable to competently close evenly.. so when I pull the door handle it kind of "SPRINGS" open - I cant help but think to myself.. "umm yeah this isnt suppsoed to be like this".. What is the solution?? Im thinking hard on this.. In a perfect world.. I would just grind down the brackets and bolts and try and remove all extra material I dont need and weld the frame in... So I'm going to seek a welder and see what they can do.. But now im going to have to sand off paint.. Weld. and then paint again!!! BEST OF LUCK ... show more

  • Strong, good price.
Size: 2007-2013 Type 2 Style: Upper Windshield
I have not installed these yet but I’m impressed by their thickness/strength for the price. It may take me a few weeks to get them installed on my 2013 Chevy Tahoe. But when I do I’ll update this review with a few pictures. Update: I got these installed today with my 52” curved lightbar. They were super easy to install and they are solid as can be! I have a whistle around 35 mph and 50-60 mph. But I will try adjusting the angle of the lightbar to see if that helps. ... show more

  • Great with one exception
Size: 2007-2013 Type 2 Style: Upper Windshield
Overall I like these mounts a lot. They came with self taping screws instead of the riv nuts like so many of these mounts. I have installed riv nuts before and they weren’t the worst thing ever, but the self tappers were way easier. The brackets came with explicit directions on where to place them on the door frame which was nice. I marked the spots and used a small punch to make sure the holes I drilled were where I wanted them and drilled some pilot holes to be sure. They are thick enough to be strong, but not so thick they can be maneuvered during installation of the light bar. I have 0 problems with leaking during rain either. My only complaint is that they are smooth where the bar mounts to them. Every light bar I have ever owned has ridges where the bar attaches to the mounts so it won’t rotate once installed. So there is no way for these to keep your bar from moving, and I can’t tighten it enough to keep it straight. I put some rubber washers between the mounts and the bar to create a grippy surface for now, but I will have to find a more permanent solution as the rubber will degrade over time. ... show more

  • Fit 2006 dodge ram 1500, daughters happy
Size: 1996-2006 Style: Upper Windshield
I know this bracket was for a Chevy and not meant to fit a 2006 dodge ram 1500... but because I wasn't willing to pay the 6x greater price for the only correct bracket I could find, I took a 10$ risk and bought this. Test fits looked like it was made for this truck, so as soon as the daughter and I had a day off together I tore into her truck. The fit was really easy, I pulled the door seal, revealing the mounting rails/ drip rails. These are held on with torque screws, pulled the two right above the window and found they lined up perfectly with the holes in the bracket. Test fit the bar with these holes. Once sure of location, I drilled out the holes for blind nuts. The brackets come with screws, but I like the blind nuts better. Once these were in, it was as simple as bolting it all together, the wiring fit perfectly under the windshield molding, everything looks perfect. Even with using this on the wrong vehicle, it's perfect. Very strong metal, decent coating (yes...I dropped a bracket onto the concret and noticed no chipping). I would recommend this bracket for anyone, even at twice the price. Only negative I could give would be the two mounting holes... not sure what that was for. At some point I may drill and tap the light bar itself and put another bolt there, but that will only be if she has trouble with it rotating. Again, very impressed with everything about this bracket for the price. Saved me making my own and a lot of time. Daughter is super excited for night to get here lol. ... show more
