Saved my orange tree as I overwintered this year inside instead of the greenhouse. Tree bloomed and survived without having to pay for heating, humidity and fan in greenhouse this past winter. Wish the stand was adjustable though. I purchased another light from another brand that does adjust for my lemon and lime trees. Time function works as intended. You just need to wake up early to turn the function on as I noticed that it starts once you initiate it manually. I had to wake up at 6 am once just to start the process. Then over winter the light did its thing for 12 hours then shut off fine. ... show more

I thought this would detract from the room but it is pleasantly decorative. The goose neck adjustments are perfect to adjust the location and direction of the light. It's very light weight and easy to move, but also easy to knock over - making it an excellent excuse to purchase another plant to place on the base. Timer is close enough and assembly was a breeze. The light type and brightness are adjustable but I haven't decided between research and trial and error, so I'm experimenting with full spectrum at medium brightness. ... show more

Originally, I received a smaller unit (1 light) as a birthday gift for my orchids, but we returned it for this light as the first was just too small. Look how the orchids are responding! We live in high desert, Nevada, with really low humidity, and we keep our house at 66 during the day in winter (62 at night), so you wouldn't think orchids would thrive. But they do. Before receiving the Glowrium, they were just getting indirect light from an Aerogarden unit that I kept on 'just because' as we don't start seeds until early-to-mid May in this area, but I'm hopeful that the Glowrium will help them continue to amaze all of us. BTW, I also tried one of the smaller light units with long, skinny arms; those didn't work AT ALL and were just a big waste of money.
