The media could not be loaded. Had this for 2-3 weeks so limited data.... But very solid build by Grizzly. arrived via ups and driver was very accommodating and backed up my 100 yard long, uphill, wooded gravel drive and delivered it to my shop. machine arrived basically leveled and required no adjustment. It works well so far. Requires 220-240V and I installed this for it. Came with push handles for work pieces, lift angle iron pieces (can attach and be used to lift with power equipment), and instructions. The packaging was fairly solid. It is a very heavy machine but I was able to use the packing crate material to make a ramp and got it offloaded and moved myself. Helical head is great and leaves a nice finish. Vacuum attachment was on machine so simply hooked up to 4 inch adapter and was ready. Vacuum is a must for this as with any bigger jointer. ... show more

    • Ran great first ten minutes....
So I bought this machine for my cabinet shop and was pretty excited to finally upgrade to an 8" jointer from my 1950s 6" jointer. It's not the seller's fault but it took nearly a month to get this machine after ordering. UPS had it sitting in a warehouse for weeks even after setting multiple delivery appointments. No call no show. Missed work and was getting pretty frustrated. Finally, it was delivered. Got the jointer set up according to the directions and ran a test board through. It ran great! Smooth cut and good power. Turned off the machine to set up for the next board. When I engaged power for the second board there was immediately a loud pop and the spindle was running very slow like it had lost a leg. I took the side cover off to check the problem and felt the motor. It was way hotter than it should be for having virtually no load or run time on it. I'm still testing the motor, but I'm 95% sure it's a bad starter capacitor. To me, that's completely unacceptable to get a brand new $3k machine and have it fail with less than 10 minutes run time!!! Ridiculous. So now I'm having to deal with technical support to try and get a new set of capacitors to get it going again. Hopefully I can find a better quality replacement because I can't have machines going down in my shop or I won't be making any money working on them! So buyer beware! This is a Taiwanese piece of equipment using cheap parts. Be prepared to possibly be working on it. The machine feels solid, just a cheap motor. ... show more

This jointer is awesome. UPS guy put it right in my garage with his pallet jack. The box had absolutely no damage and either did the machine. It was perfectly planer and equal. No adjustments needed. The helical blade is astounding, after using a blade machine it’s like night and day. You can joint the wood quicker losing less material. Love it. Getting off the pallet by myself was a bear but built a ramp screwed right to the pallet then took off boards under the machine and it rolled right off. ... show more

    • Perfectly smooth right out of the crate.
After unloading this from the crate I took my straight edge and dial unit and I was so impressed that it came within three thou across the cutter head and the beds were coplanar. Almost no adjustments to make and the cuts on it were super smooth.

Not a single complaint other than the package arrived damaged. The base was detached and bent so we had a heck of a time moving it in the garage. But that's sort of trivial. It was accurate out of the gate and is a huge step up from the table top I've been using.
