These socks do what they say: they're windproof and keep your feet warm. I've worn them on rides down to 26F and my toes have stayed warm. On the coldest rides, I pair them with overshoes. On rides down to 40F, I use them alone, without overshoes. My only complaint is that they do not have elastic cuffs and the sizing runs a bit large (at least for Size 11/12); these socks have a fair amount of material above the ankle to tuck under the cuffs of my tights. I'd prefer it if the portion above the ankle were a closer elastic fit. ... show more

I got these to replace my wool socks I used while cycling. They're not really that warm. They might be better for early spring / fall. I don't run, so maybe for a runner they're great. Skip for cycling.
