  • Lots of Information
This book is amazing for beginners who want to take the next baby step. It's chocked full of info and little details with explanation for everything. I'm not finished yet but I'm about halfway through and I'm very very happy with it. It's a great price, I say go for it. Buy the damn thing lol

  • The Best Grimoire I've ever seen
This is not only a visually beautiful book, but it's an incredibly dense book, chock full of correspondences, spells, rituals, and information. I'm not usually that enthusiastic about grimoire's written by others since many of them seem to be just a way to get their ego stroked. Some are so poorly written, you wonder why a publisher accepted them. One I've read had such poor spelling and grammar that I don't think it was even edited--a big mistake. While I understand that literacy amongst witches has only been common in this century, it still has a strong effect on how I perceive the author when there are such egregious errors. I've been a solitary practitioner for years, but Ann Moura's book really increased my knowledge. It is probably a bit much for a beginner since it is not a basic book by any means. I've been told that some of her other books are basic witchcraft lessons. This book just impressed me by the total amount of information gathered in one place. Not to mention that the rituals, spells, etc. are eminently usable and very well written. It was an interesting read just because things like the ... show more

  • Excellent resource for the Apprentice & the Learned
I absolutely adore this Grimoire/Book of Shadows. First off, this is NOT a "How~to" book. This book educates & also inspires. This is the authors OWN Book of Shadows. Traditions passed down for generations. It is meant to be used as a guide, and also be used as your own. For those new & investigating the "Green" Craft, this is a very insightful and enlightening read and quite useful. For those who have been practicing for some time, this is a valuable addition to your resources. It can be quite difficult to create your own Grimoire/Book of Shadows from scratch. (Trust me, I have tried). This book takes care of that, giving you something to start with. A wealth of information, with plenty of room for additions of your own. It covers pretty much every aspect that one needs to practice the "Green" ways. And, as I said prior, much room to add your own traditions & thoughts. Being a "Green Witch", this is the book I have wanted to write myself, for years. The traditions that were passed down to me were by "word of mouth", from my elders. This book has allowed me to write in the traditions that were passed down to me, while they are still crisp in my head, also to be passed down to my son when the time comes. The author is most kind to share these pages with us, and I give her much thanks for this. Blessing to you dear author ... show more

  • This is a wonderful reference book
This is probably the best book I have read on witchcraft to date. I have been interested and involved in various aspects of the craft for about 20 years now and have bought many books and this one just lays everything out in such an easy to understand basic outline that I wish I had found this years ago. It is a great reference book for doing all the important witchy things without expecting you to know everything beforehand. For example a lot of books just say “cast a circle and call the quarters” or “ground yourself.” Well how the heck do you do those basic things if you aren’t sure how? I love that this book has all that stuff and lays it out in an easy to understand reference. This has already become a valuable resource to me and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to someone who wants to learn the “bones” of witchcraft. ... show more

  • For the curious minds
I gave this book as a gift and the recipient loved it!

  • Great book, misleading title.
I bought this book for the very detailed correspondences in the second half of the book. There is great info about sigils, candle magic, color correspondences, moon phases and so on. It's very interesting and helpful! However, the first part of the book is very Wiccan focused. I am not Wiccan, so this part I have no use for. If you are Wiccan, this book is perfect for you. The reason I give it four stars and not five is because there is no mention of Wicca in the title or description, but the rituals, creed, etc. are Wiccan based. The title is a bit misleading if you are not Wiccan. However, I would recommend this book because it has some great, useful information in it. ... show more

  • So good it was stolen
This book is so good it was taken right out from under us before we could finish it. I think that calls for a new copy. From what I read it's a great book that I truly enjoyed reading. Can't wait to finish it and have it back in my collection.

  • Hard Charging Green Witch
My introduction years ago into the worldview which I walk was at the recommendation of another to this author's works. I personally knew no one of the Pagan path nor access or knowledge of groups/data on the web at that time. Fate was on my side and smiling ear to ear that day in North Georgia. In this book, a culmination of the others, Ms. Moura delivers superbly yet again. Being a teacher of history in the mundane world shows through here in her devotion to and knowledge of her topic. Very thorough and all encompassing in its range. I have, as most do, gone on to read other material as well but I always come back to the treasure trove that is to be found in this book and the many others of Ms. Moura. If one has a desire to know anything of Green Witchcraft with no stone left unturned, well here you go. To disregard is a disservice to yourself and your intellect. ... show more
