It comes folded in approximately 1' x 1' size several inches thick. It catches on everything so unfolding it that many time to get an 18' piece out was a major chore. Its VERY thin. In net thickness - the strands and connection points - this is bird netting. Prior purchases were indeed deer netting and MUCH more robust. While the prior purchase was folded, it was folded ONCE and came on a roll which was superior in cutting off and using a long section. We have urban deer, so this product will probably work, but I wouldn't trust it in a more wild setting. ... show more

I've bought deer netting before and it ripped so easily. This one is made of much thicker material and looks like it will last longer. I used the netting for my garden and it worked great! Nice affordable option to keep deer from eating everything.

Had this up for about 3-4 weeks. My plants were growing great and then yesterday I found one that was half eaten. There was a hole in one corner that the animal had chewed through! We zip tied the hole shut and placed a rock in front of it as well. Today I get home from.work and saw the rabbit run out of a hole next to the old hole. All of the broccoli and half of the brussel sprouts were eaten today by that rabbit. Which this product was insufficient to stop from entering! So I will never recommend this product to someone again. I even just bought a second roll for a back garden area and installed that yesterday. Which I now am debating removing. TLDR - Animals just chew through this fence ... show more

Last year we lost all but a few fruits on our pear trees to crows. This year, we prepared & got this netting to put over them before the fruits began to ripen. Seven feet isn't as wide as I might have liked, but at 100' long there's enough to make cut-to-size overlapping pieces that will ensure full coverage. Please save your money. This was so cheap. It's ripped in a hundred different places. Everytime I try to patch one hole, ten more tear. I'm ripping the whole thing down and going to buy quality product from my garden store. This is so shredded I don't even think I can return it.

I found this netting to be really useful around my house. Between my garden and chicken coop it has really added a level of protection. Im not saying it would be the end all form of defense against everything but I doubt the deer would go through it. For me it was easy to use because I had built some wood fence panels a few years ago and just wrapped it all around them and used staples to secure it. It all appears to be working and holding up well. I probably would've rated it 5 stars but the way they shipped it was all folded up and a bit of a pain to unroll efficiently. I got it eventually but did cuss a few times overall really useful and easy to work with. ... show more

    • Using to Keep Birds Out Doubt it Will Keep the Deer Out

In addition to the info in the headline, this netting likes to stick to everything. The easiest way to deal with it is to have one or two people help. Barring that, it's just a little more of a pain to work with than your average netting. It should come on a roll, but even that may not help much. All of that being said, it seems like it will hold up for awhile and keep birds and other critters at bay (but again, probably not deer); so, if you can deal with the negatives and it seems like a good deal, it probably is.
