  • 5000w @ 1ohm, not even kidding.
This amp is powerful. No need to run 12s parallel, bridged down to 1ohm, whatsoever, lol. Just cooked my Orion xtrs in less than 2min w/ the dials all less than half, & the remote power controller even less than that. Fried em crunchy. Users beware, lol. This amp does what it says, not overrated whatsoever, like almost every other amp on the market. It is a monster. Takes two 0 gauge power wires & two 0ga grounds. Easy to setup. Has two built in fans. Awesome Amp! ... show more

  • This will definitely put a bump in your step!
This is a really nice mid level subwoofer amplifier. It has ample gain / frequency selectors to customize your sound to exactly what you want. The amp is nice and solid, has really good heat dissipation groves and the laser engraving gives it a nice esthetic look. The connections are easy to make without having to worry about cross connection. The connections don't have any significant flex and will secure all the cabling tightly. This amp has plenty of power to run two power hungry 12's. I really like that Gravity has a good matching selection of audio to build out an entire system as well. It's also really nice that it comes with a corded bass adjustment dial. So if you have someone with you that doesn't like lots of bass you can turn it down and crank it back when they leave. It's also a potential sub saver when you get into a song that has some dirty bass and you want to turn it down some so you're not over extending your seals. Overall this sub will make for a great mid level sounds system and I don't think most would be disappointed by it. ... show more

  • It blows my mind how affordable amps have gotten
Back in the day, I was no stranger to paying $1 per watt for amplifiers. Now you can buy a 5,000-watt amp for $300? Mind-blowing. This amplifier is a powerhouse, although I'm not certain it makes rated power as other similar amps I've used to this one seem to have a bit more punch. I can't complain given the price point, though. Given that it is a full-bridge amp, it is also remarkably small for how much power it outputs. This has an upside and a downside; given how compact it is, finding a place to install it is much easier than the surfboards of yesteryear. On the other hand, the compact nature of the heatsink means that it has limited thermal capacity, so extended use at high volume can prove destructive. Another aspect of full-bridge amplifiers is that you must have an appropriately sized electrical system. This isn't a problem with this amp specifically, but most amps with this architecture. If you think you can fire this thing up with a stock alternator and a single battery, you're going to have a bad time. You need to have a high-output alternator and a bank of batteries to reduce voltage drop. Continuously undervolting of this amplifier will lead to a dead amp. ... show more

  • Surprising quality and power for the money. Not sure about the 5k watts, but good power for subs.
So many amps out there with claims of massive power it's difficult to determine what is real. Certainly this rating is at 1ohm and even at 1ohm I'm not sure it's really 5k watts. The build quality is pretty good on this and the connections are very good and the power and ground lugs are very significant. It includes a high pass, low pass, gain, and bass boost. The amp has pretty good weight but inside has plenty of empty space which adds to my skepticism of the rating. Before installing permanently I hooked up temporarily and it is surprisingly powerful. The bass was pretty clean and plenty strong for the price so I ignore the rating and just take it for what it is. I feel like a lot of the sound comes from the gain and the bass controller, but either way it does perform. We'll see how it does long term. ... show more

  • So far so good
Installation of the Gravity Audio E5000.1D Warzone amplifier took some time but properly running the wiring for any amp takes a bit of extra time. The included bass knob is a nice addition which gives you finer control over the bass. The amp is inexpensive and works well so far, but I also recommend caution as this is an unknown brand with an advertised one year warranty but I am not sure who will be standing behind that in a years time. Also, the listing suggests that this is made in the USA and that is not true. ... show more

  • Sounds quite good if you use decent speakers
I installed this in an old SUV with some old speakers from...uh...the early 2000's, maybe? It was already wired for an amp, so installation was a breeze. The old amp fried years ago and I just never bothered to replace it since I don't generally drive that old SUV all that much. The old amp was a Kicker of some sort that I tossed in the garbage back during the early days of the lockdown because I was definitely going to replace it then but didn't. With the very old, very worn subs, this sounded ok. The old subs rattled quite a bit, so it was hard to tell. I put two new Rockford Fosgate P2D2-10 subwoofers in there to replace them. Those are only 10" subs, and don't need anywhere near the power this can put out. This absolutely pounds those subs. Now, I'm old and I've never been the type to drive through town, making everyone listen to bass because I need to compensate for something. I do like some bass, because a lot of music sounds wrong without it. This will definitely overpower those subs and make them distort, but that's definitely a sign to turn it down. It gets considerably louder than I'd ever want before it starts to distort. This could definitely handle larger subs than what I'm using without issue if you are the type who thinks that everyone around you absolutely needs to hear your bass wherever you go because you are an awful person. ... show more
