I've used the longer versions of these for years as a quick hack for organizing closets - inserting bins or clear shoeboxes to hold hats, gloves, scarves, toiletries, office supplies, anything. These are also great for folded garments or shoes - extremely flexible use. However, not all are created equal. This version with the hooks is far more sturdy. I purchased a set of two of these hanging organizers to better utilize my closet space. I have some electronic equipment under my coats, so these allow me to perfectly store my shoes and boots above. I actually prefer this height too, as now my footwear is easily perused and acquired, eliminating unnecessary bending and strain on my back (which is a miniscule thing, but still). Overall, I bought these on a whim, but will likely buy more for storage solutions around the apartment; nothing is to stop me holding cleaners, or towels, or whatever the like in the little shelves besides overall weight.
