I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing this Grampa’s weed puller tool, and I am glad I did. It is a really handy tool to have, especially when dealing with weeds that are prickly or uncomfortable to pull by hand. It took me a few tries to figure out the right angle and positioning to get the entire weed out, but once I got the hang of it, it worked well. It is actually fun to use, and it came fully assembled, which was a nice bonus. The only downside I noticed is that if you have a large area with a lot of weeds, using this tool can actually take more time than pulling them by hand. For small patches or for specific weeds you do not want to touch, it is excellent. For large weed-infested areas, it may slow you down a bit. Other than that, I think this tool is brilliant. It is effective, easy to use once you get the technique down, and a great addition for anyone who has a yard full of weeds or just wants a cleaner, less painful way to pull them.

Ok, I have so much good to say about this thing, it's a bit ridiculous! I received my Grandpa's Weeder yesterday (one day earlier than expected😍, yet another reason for my 5 star review). I was so excited to use it, that I busted it out today and went to town. I "worked" in my yard for over 2.5 hours. I said "worked" because it hardly felt like the typical weeding work that I'm accustomed to. It was awesome to say the least. I'm sure the novelty will wear off some day, but there were so many audible "wow!", "oh man!", "holy cow!" etc.!! I just kept being amazed at the ease of which this tool makes removing weeds! Here's a little more detail: I primarily used the tool in my lawn areas--where I had hundreds (literally--hundreds) of dandelions. However, there were at least 20 or so weeds I removed from garden areas. I will say that it has rained here (Northern Utah) on and off over the past 3 days. I'm sure that helped the success of the tool. Did it remove all of the root of every weed? No, but I was in awe at how many weeds it got with a 3-9 inch root system. And of those that it didn't remove a good sized root, it still got a decent size. Did it leave a hole after removing the weed (like I had read in a few reviews)? Yep, but I figure those holes are great for aerating my lawn! Was it easy to use? YES! SO EASY!! I'm a 50 year old woman in decent physical shape and I worked for 2.5 hours in my yard today, removing weeds with this incredible tool. This was AFTER I returned home from playing 2 hours of pickleball (intermediate level--making it in and of itself a pretty decent workout). It was actually fun to use....and so SATISFYING! While using the tool, I had two neighbors come over and see it in action. They too were amazed. To one neighbor I admitted that it didn't get EVERY weed root system completely. And then I went on to show her and it went 4 for 4 weeds perfectly! We were so impressed. Can't say enough good about this tool. Very efficient, sturdy, high quality, etc. And I love that I'm supporting a small family business. Way to go guys! I wish I had discovered this tool about 20 years ago! Maybe it hadn't been found and re-produced back then?

a simple yet robust tool for conquering the yard. We purchased a house last fall and this spring our yard was nothing BUT dandelions and weeds. Knowing my past luck (or lack thereof) with chemicals and pre emergent barely denting these well established monsters, and I mean the weeds were in some cases 6-8" across and their root left a hole 1/2-3/4" wide. I decided to take a stab literally and figuratively with this after seeing a random add for it on TV. Nothing to do with this but place it over the weed step down on it and tilt it out. Easier than seen in ads! I admit I caught the weeds while the soil was still welt from the snow melts making the process easier. I cleared the entire front yard in just over an hour and the back the following morning. Most weeds came out with their enormous tendril like root attached but even the ones that broke off broke deep enough the weed couldn't recover. I did fill the created holes with grass seed but left it there. no other chemicals, no follow ups. I wanted to see how the summer would proceed. It's been 5 months and no weeds have resurfaced. our lawn looks new and the neighbors have thanked us as our yard was the one spreading weeds every season. I looked at other weeding solutions and even considered other brands but Im grateful I chose this original. There is zero plastic to weaken this unlike others. Just iron and wood, which based on my use already will last a lifetime without wear. Who knows when or if I'll need this again with our easily and thoroughly this removed our weed problem. Update: a full season later and not one single dandelion resurfaced. I told our neighbor about it and the lent him this tool and he did his lawn too. Zero resurgence of weeds after this for either property! Yes it’s labor but truly minimal, just a little time consuming going weed by weed but there really is nothing like the old school. Best money spent on lawn care in my 20 years of home ownership

Grampa’s Weeder works just as described! It’s perfect for pulling single, smaller weeds and makes the job quick and easy. In my case, I let part of my yard get overgrown with crabgrass, and while the tool still worked well, it just wasn’t the right choice for tackling such a large area. I’ll definitely keep using it for maintenance and for new weeds as they pop up.
