Overall this is a pretty awesome swing. Cute design, sturdy construction and the 5 point harness makes baby super secure. The head insert works for our 2 month old. We started using it when he was 1.5 months but he was already 13ish lbs so for a smaller baby you may need to add a better head support or rolled up towel. It does make a tiny bit of noise while it swings - not as in a defect but just from the mechanism itself. Like a click each time it reaches one side or the other. Nothing overly annoying. A few weeks in it did develop a squeak which i wasn't happy about but it seems to have resolved itself sinc. It only swings side to side not forward and backward. LOVEEE that it gives you a cord to plug in and doesn't run on batteries. Very few swings have this convenience anymore. It plays classical songs or nature sounds and lets you change the volume or mute it. It goes pretty loud. It has 6 different strengths of swinging and 2 strengths of vibration. The vibration requires batteries in an extra compartment. The swing when assembled is too wide to fit through a door frame you have to finagle it and turn it to the side. So not very mobile if you're looking to move it from room to room a lot. I wish the mobile turned on it's own but that's okay. You really can't beat this for the price. It's an awesome little swing and so far has been a saving grace and worth every penny. Highly recommend! ... show more

I'm absolutely in love with this swing! I've tried so many and my baby has HATED them! The minute he got into this one, he was instantly relaxed. It was super easy to assemble, very light weight, is battery or plug in operated, and great quality!

We had to purchase this swing for our nearly 5 mo old who only sleeps through the night in his swing (we found mold on the bottom of the previous swing seat cover and even though most washed out, I didn't want to chance it, and trying to find a replacement cover for that swing was a pain and they're expensive). I was leary getting a new swing given our little guy's age and weight-he's a chunk. We aren't super picky, so I don't have a lot of cons with this one. I feel the music or sounds could be louder-sometimes I can hardly tell it's on. The mobile doesn't turn or spin if someone is wondering-that doesn't matter to us though. After reading some reviews I worried our son wouldn't swing very fast because he's nearly 20 lbs, but even at speed 4(out of 6), it went plenty fast and we actually used it at 3 while he sleeps. As far as the noise, I don't have an issue with that, but I read others have. We use a white noise machine sometimes, so I don't hear it, but the little clicking sound it does make, doesn't phase me. My biggest issue is the height of the swing overall. Our fisher price cradle n swing one is a lot bulkier and the top piece is higher up, so it made this one feel so much smaller. The seat does sit maybe an inch or 2 lower from the ground than our other swing. I'm only about 5'3" and I feel like I really have to bend down to get him in and out, and even more so for my husband. The seat is totally different than our cradle n swing, which is bucket-like. I like how that swing has an actual seat to hold our baby in. This is just the metal outlined shape seat with a cover that snaps over it. The seat seems taller and wider in some ways than our old swing, so it's good for our baby at his size/age, but I could see how a little one might need some additional support to hold them in because of the shape. We haven't even tried the vibration part of it since we have a separate bouncy seat, so I can't speak on that function. Overall this takes up a little less space than our cradle n swing, and definitely seems more compact. This was a great price and it does what we need it to do, so I'm happy with it. I rate it overall a 4/5. My biggest complaint would be the height of the swing for getting your baby in/out. I've attached photos to show side by side of the 2 swings. The pictures don't show much difference in overall width and seat height, but in person, the cradle n swing seat is higher from the ground and is the entire thing taller/wider. ... show more

It is the best! Thank God, he loves it. My only critique is that the swing even at the lowest speed is strong/fast. I do not think that it needs to go up to 6 speeds. That motor is working fast. I turn it off once my baby boy falls asleep in it and he loves it. He smiles while swinging in it. We placed our baby in the swing right out the box after easy installation by hubby, and he fell asleep quickly. The music is fine, it was audible enough, the bird sound is low but most importantly the swing does what it is supposed to and is safe. Low to the ground and sturdy structure, looks pretty safe and once baby can wiggle and move more he can be strapped in. I love that I can move it around the house. The media could not be loaded. It’s a great product. I regret that I didn’t purchased this a long time ago, because rocking baby to sleep is a hassle. This thing gets the job done. Finally, I can get some space. *Just so you know, it has a bit of noise from its motor. But baby isn’t affected by it.
