The Graco Affix Highback Booster Seat with Latch System helps safely transport your big kid from 40 to 100 lb and up to 57" tall. It provides a secure connection to your vehicle seat with its one-hand front- adjust Latch system, making self-buckling easier for your independent child. While the purpose of the Latch in the Affix Booster is to secure the booster to the vehicle seat while the booster is unoccupied and help facilitate independent buckling, you will secure your child in the booster seat with the vehicle lap/shoulder belt. The seat has an integrated cup holder and hideaway storage compartment to keep child's drinks and favorite things within arm's reach. This seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to help protect your child in frontal, side, rear & rollover crashes. To continue to meet industry standards, we have increased the weight minimum from 30 to 40 lb Since the Latch system only secures the booster seat to the vehicle in this application and is not used for installation, it may be used regardless of the weight of the child (up to the maximum weight recommendation of the seat). I was in market for a new car seat due to my daughters increasing age and her old car seat being cumbersome. I had always thought that the high back booster seats started at 4 years and 40 lbs. I was pleased to see this one starting at 3 years and 30 lbs. I read the reviews and did my research. The main negative points seemed to stem from only 1 latch and having a wiggle space of 5 inches without the seat belt attached. From that point of view I could understand that the car seat would be over priced for a latch system that does not seem to do its job. Despite this I decided to take a risk and buy the car seat (mostly because I was so tired of lugging the car seat we currently had lol). The product arrived promptly. It did not come in any extra packaging save its original box. Box was in relatively good condition. The product instructions were easy to understand and easy to set up. Size was just right for its intended purpose fitting well in a mid size sedan as not being too big or too small. The fabric was soft to the touch and my daughter quickly proclaimed it to be comfortable. The side impact safety indicators were a definite plus but did not overly wrap around my daughter. My daughter especially liked the cup holder and "secret" drawer she found on the car seat. I obviously did not have the heart to tell her it was designed that way. ^_^ As far as the latch system, I noticed right away there were 2 latches on the back. it has a push button release on the front to give the latches slack to easily attach the latches to the car. The pull strap on the front quickly and easily pulls the car seat snug to the seat. I did not find any appreciable give to the car seat on a wiggle test. The use of the belt buckle has its ups and downs. My daughter found it quite exciting to use the seat belt like mommy and daddy. However with the sides and the armrests designed the way they are it is next to impossible for her to buckle her self at the moment. I realize its not a big problem, but it is worth mentioning. All in all I found this seat to be easy to set up and install. My daughter is enjoying "growing up into a new seat" and the car seat looks a bit more stylish as car seats go. Other than my daughter being able to buckle herself in, the only negative thing I found was the back is unstable without a support surface. This is to say if you sat the seat on the ground with nothing behind it, and your child sat down AND leaned back into the chair, the chair easily gives way to reclining to a flat position. I realize this not its intended purpose. I realize that it is designed that way for ease to recline the chair and remove the high back when needing to. I even realize that in its intended purpose as a car seat, the seat gives it the support and there is no danger of the back reclining back. I only mention this because I was eager for my daughter to try the chair after setting it up and quickly had to catch the back of the seat before she fell back. I admit to being at fault, but I still deem it as a negative in my view lol. ... show more

Searching for a booster car seat can be costly and also confusing. I did a long research and review readings and I got more and more confused. I decided to look for something simpler, easier, sturdy, safer, and not too costly and this was just perfect in all aspects. It has a seat anchor to lock in the booster as well as adjustable back for angle and height comfort adjustments. The seat can also be separated from the back as the child gets to a level where it is no longer needed. The product is also light weight and easy to carry around and does not occupy too much space in the vehicle as most do. My daughter LOVES this booster. The assembly was easy and adjustment for height is simple. I was searching for a booster that wasn't obnoxious in color/style and this is perfect. The purple is subtle and pretty. Great product!

After purchasing the Britax Parkway SG-2 Booster Car Seat and realizing there is no tether for the carseat, I was on the hunt for a new highback booster that did have a tether. I did a lot of research and based on the awesome reviews here on Amazon I went with this little guy. I gave it 4 stars which for me is high as you have to blow my socks off to get 5 stars, so this is saying a lot. Comparing to the Britax Parkway SG-2 Booster Car Seat this seat has everything the other did not. Safety was our #1 goal and this hit it all. It has the tethering to the car which was the first item I was looking for. Second I ws searching for the safety loops for the car seat belt to go through - check! The next was comfort. I installed this seat in my car and the Britax in my husband's after 2 weeks of hauling our daughter in both cars this carseat came out the winner. She like the seat better in her own 4.5 year old words: " I like the squishy seat and the squishy head pillow". She has fallen asleep several times in my car and never slumps over in our carseat, her head always rests nicely on the "pillow". Both carseats were very simple to install. This carseat had the extra tether so it does take a few extra moments to get that started, but it was very simple. The material is very well made and even when a sippy cup was spilled of juice on it, it did not soak through for several minutes. I was able to sop it all up and it was barely wet. The cup holder is a good size, it holds normal sized cups and juice boxes. it wont hold anything with extended handles, but at her age she no longer wants those anyways. All and all this is the best high back seat I have found and compared to the other Britax we have this is the winner by far. ... show more

I love that this booster seat has the latch system. I feel so much safer having my granddaughter in the car. I also like that it converts to a seat booster with no back and still has the latch system. It has cupholder which is always handy. Then the other side has a small tray. You can put travel Kleenex then close it. The coupler also closes. The cupholder also closes. I love the color and it’s easy to clean. ... show more
