Description

The Graco Affix highback Booster Seat with Latch System helps safely transport your big kid from 40 to 100 lb and up to 57" tall. It provides a secure connection to your vehicle seat with its one-hand front-adjust Latch system, making self-buckling easier for your independent child. While the purpose of the Latch in the Affix Booster is to secure the booster to the vehicle seat while the booster is unoccupied and help facilitate independent buckling, you will secure your child in the booster seat with the vehicle lap/shoulder belt. The seat has an integrated cup holder and hideaway storage compartment to keep child's drinks and favorite things within arm's reach. This seat is Graco Protect Plus Engineered to help protect your child in frontal, rear & rollover crashes. To continue to meet industry standards, we have increased the weight minimum from 30 to 40 lb Since the Latch system only secures the booster seat to the vehicle in this application and is not used for installation, it may be used regardless of the weight of the child (up to the maximum weight recommendation of the seat). Care and Maintenance: Machine-washable seat cushion. Metal and plastic parts may be cleaned with mild soap and cool water.

I was in market for a new car seat due to my daughters increasing age and her old car seat being cumbersome. I had always thought that the high back booster seats started at 4 years and 40 lbs. I was pleased to see this one starting at 3 years and 30 lbs. I read the reviews and did my research. The main negative points seemed to stem from only 1 latch and having a wiggle space of 5 inches without the seat belt attached. From that point of view I could understand that the car seat would be over priced for a latch system that does not seem to do its job. Despite this I decided to take a risk and buy the car seat (mostly because I was so tired of lugging the car seat we currently had lol). The product arrived promptly. It did not come in any extra packaging save its original box. Box was in relatively good condition. The product instructions were easy to understand and easy to set up. Size was just right for its intended purpose fitting well in a mid size sedan as not being too big or too small. The fabric was soft to the touch and my daughter quickly proclaimed it to be comfortable. The side impact safety indicators were a definite plus but did not overly wrap around my daughter. My daughter especially liked the cup holder and "secret" drawer she found on the car seat. I obviously did not have the heart to tell her it was designed that way. ^_^ As far as the latch system, I noticed right away there were 2 latches on the back. it has a push button release on the front to give the latches slack to easily attach the latches to the car. The pull strap on the front quickly and easily pulls the car seat snug to the seat. I did not find any appreciable give to the car seat on a wiggle test. The use of the belt buckle has its ups and downs. My daughter found it quite exciting to use the seat belt like mommy and daddy. However with the sides and the armrests designed the way they are it is next to impossible for her to buckle her self at the moment. I realize its not a big problem, but it is worth mentioning. All in all I found this seat to be easy to set up and install. My daughter is enjoying "growing up into a new seat" and the car seat looks a bit more stylish as car seats go. Other than my daughter being able to buckle herself in, the only negative thing I found was the back is unstable without a support surface. This is to say if you sat the seat on the ground with nothing behind it, and your child sat down AND leaned back into the chair, the chair easily gives way to reclining to a flat position. I realize this not its intended purpose. I realize that it is designed that way for ease to recline the chair and remove the high back when needing to. I even realize that in its intended purpose as a car seat, the seat gives it the support and there is no danger of the back reclining back. I only mention this because I was eager for my daughter to try the chair after setting it up and quickly had to catch the back of the seat before she fell back. I admit to being at fault, but I still deem it as a negative in my view lol. ... show more

This car seat has been amazing, it’s easy for my daughter sit in. The snack holder is hard for her to open, but that’s not a huge issue. I love that it is easy to take apart to clean the material pieces! We’ve had it for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier with another type. I bought this as a backup seat for carpools for my 5.5 year old. I actually ended up using this seat more often than a 3 in one we have due to this seat giving better seatbelt path placement on his shoulder. I love it! It feels a tad flimsy compared to our convertible one but the seatbelt fit is fantastic and my son loves the cup holders because they fit his cups. Having 3 children with my oldest being in high school, I’ve seen tons of trends in car seats over the past decade and a half. This high back boater isn’t the fanciest or most plush, but it secures our child safely in his seat. He has vocalized that it’s not very comfy compared to his former 3-in-1, but short of creating a seat with better lumbar support for longer car rides, this works. It’s smaller overall but a tad wider/flatter than his 3-in-1 and it uses the car seatbelt at the harness so he doesn’t feel squished like a little sardine. We’ve owned (and purchased for grandparents) everything from super basic to extraordinarily expensive (::gasp:: How could I not buy the most expensive car seat on the market?! I love my children, afterall!) Honestly, while there are definitely differences in quality (more plush fabrics, softer rubber/plastic surrounds) and I’m sure some of the more expensive car seats that we have owned earned some great level of certification… This is safe and gets the job done. It’s affordable, though you may still cry when you eventually throw it out. I’ve bought 6 of them, so yes… I would buy this again… ... show more

I believe we received a used product. It was missing the cup holder attachment, and I pulled a number white pet hairs off the chair back. (We only have black pets). Not bothered it was used unless it was damaged in some way we couldn’t tell. Not sure about missing piece - but overall it’s a nice chair, easy to put together in about 10 mins or less. This item arrived promptly as promised by the seller. We purchased 3 of these seats, one for each of our cars. The booster was easy to assemble it took me 5 mins. The backrest portion was the most difficult part. Because it snaps into place, and I was concerned I would break it. But once I figured it out and I moved on to the second one, it was fine. The reclining back support and wrap around head supports are a great feature. Our grandbabies tend to fall asleep in the car. This product keeps their heads in place. Also the height adjustable backrest it wonderful plus! We worth the money! ... show more

The size is great it is adjustable. Cup holder is perfect for water bottles of all sizes. Padding is thin but my daughter hasn’t complained. Easy to assemble and clean! Machine washable is always a plus for me!

My son loves this booster seat! It's so comfy and it is super easy to clean. It has cup holders that can adjust to the size of the cup. It also holds the seatbelt in the perfect position. I would highly recommend!
