UPDATE: After posting the review below, I was contacted by the seller who offered an immediate and full refund. While this doesn’t change the functionality of the collar, I am happy with the end result - I am not out any money on the purchase. I’m glad they were quick to reach out and offer a resolution. We live in a wooded rural area and have been the only residence here for a long time, so our dog was used to wandering far and wide. When we got new neighbors, we had to retrain him to stay closer to home. This collar worked perfectly, as we could set a decent radius for him to wander in, And the collar would keep him from wandering outside of that area. We’ve had the collar just over 3 months and it’s beginning to malfunction. It will randomly beep for no good reason. He could be in the house, or outside within the area website for him, and it just starts beeping. It terrifies him because he thinks he’s going to get shocked. We have tried restarting it, re-centering the GPS, but the problem persists. I would like to contact the seller, and see if they have any good troubleshooting ideas for me. But I can’t find a way to contact them because we’re outside of the three month return window. I didn’t mind paying $100 for this collar to begin with, and it worked perfectly for our needs at that price. But I can’t replace it every three months. if I could get some help from the seller and get it working again or get it replaced, I could give this a better rating. But it’s not a good value if I have to replace it every three months. ... show more

    • Absolutely a life saver!
We have a VERY stubborn Great White Pyrenees that decided she's not content with 10 acres to run around on and started digging under the fence to explore other farms. Shes an inside dog but has to be out for exercise at least an hour a day. When her escape stunts started being a daily occurrence we thought we would have to get rid of her. This collar changed all that. We had to change out the collar part for a snap on style for easy on and off and a better fit. Purchased the kit on Amazon for 12 bucks. Battery life is ok, lasting more than one day with use only when she's outside. But the battery goes from showing fully charged to almost dead over night in stand by mode. I charge it in the morning when I leave for work and it's holding fine now. Set up of collar was easy. We have tons of very tall trees and still signal is good. Give yourself some wiggle room with the boundaries because sometimes it takes an extra 10 feet for the beeping to start. I have the vibration and shock both set to high because of her super thick fur and extremely stubborn disposition. We trained her nightly for a week using a leash then another week walking around with just the collar teaching her to run to the house if it goes off. She's been on her own but supervised from the porch for two weeks now and it's working. Today she took off trying to chase a very loud truck down the fence line and after a few seconds of passing the boundaries she started yelping and ran as fast as she could back to the house. As soon as she was on the porch she was fine, no lasting effects from the shock or the scare. I hate that she had to be hurt but a few seconds of discomfort is better than her getting hit by a car or shot by a neighbor.     • Keeps my dog safe.
I really like this product. It has help train my 9 month Lab to stay within our property. It has helped eliminate she to quit chasing deer and the neighbors cattle. It still allows her to roam and run on our farm with out bothering the neighbors. I found that I need to charge the battery every evening when she comes in for the night. the programing is a little tricky. All in all it is a great product for our needs. ... show more

    • Solid Product work as intended
I have 40 acres and a LGD that liked to hang out at neighboring farms a little to much. I couldn’t pin or chain him because then he is useless. So I looked into this product. Out of the box I played around with it and quickly learned how to use it with a video. Next day put it on my dog and took a walk. Once we hit the perimeter he got a beep, then a vibrate, then a shock. Problem was I had it turned up way to high and it got him pretty good. For a day he wouldn’t walk with me anymore. The next day he would and we took a different way and when we reached the 900 meter perimeter he got a beep and immediately headed back to the house. It has been three days now and he hasn’t been hanging out at the neighbors anymore. The charging every 18 hours or so is a bit of a pain but chargers in a couple of hours. I’m giving it 4 stars because the collar is not a snap type collar. Once your dog knows what the collar does he won’t like you putting it back on. I’d suggest replacing the collar. It is very easy to set up, especially in a rural suburb like ours where you have room to set the radius to your needs whether large or small. It is a more flexible system than the transmitter boxes that you have to place in your house and find the right spot to give the circle that suits your pet’s needs. The first collar I had lasted 10 months. It had a couple teeth marks on it when it stopped working. I just figured it drew some moisture and it figured out to $10 a month. It did its job up till then so I got another one. This one is bigger and bulkier. The collar does not snap on and off like the first one. Wish I had the old design back!
