Durable and easy to learn. I've never flown one before and did great. Because of pure panic pilot errors... crashed into 2 trees, the ground and the pool skimmer, no damage AT ALL! I included a picture of yours truly. Clear picture...the subject is kinda old. The homing button brought the bird right back on the mark...Elon Musk would be proud. Haven't tried the other features yet but I'm sure they will work. PS...Read the written directions, The video tutorial lacks important details. After reading some other reviews, the behavior of the drone is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Apparently, not everyone read all the directions. Home button feature says that the the drone will rapidly ascend to about 130 feet, locate the landing sight and slowly land. During this process, the pilot does not have control unless override button is pushed. All the other "malfunctions" are explained in the WRITTEN instructions. Don't shy away from this product because of pilot error due to not being fully aware of operational input I STAND CORRECTED!!! Drone Did drift off but I found it... customer support is replacing it ... next day delivery... we'll see... I'll write more in a couple of weeks...     • Dont waste you time or money
Drone is cheaply made, I honestly did not expect much ordering a $100 drone but we have expensive ones and wanted to see if the Amazon cheap ones were even remotely worth a damn, I found out they are not, Within 10 seconds the drone took off on its own, when I hit the return home function it flew off. Even worst when I got it to the point of getting close to the street or ground and hit the safe landing button it flew straight up and took off into the sky on its own. I am not sure how this has 3 1/2 stars and any good reviews. My only idea on that is people buying these really have no clue on drones or quality. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME NOT WORTH IT ... show more

Cracked my phone screen since I can't have a case on when it's on the controller. Not a smart design. Pretty angry about that. Ridiculous how a few cm could have changed it.

    • Phone holder is useless. Take off button worked once, Drone wandered off once already.
This is my 3rd drone. The first one(cost ~$100): skewed badly, trim could not compensate and is hard to control in any wind. Tried it repeatedly. Got really good forcing it down, so we could control where it crashed. The second one ($129) easy to maneuver, took great photos, but using one of the follow options, it decided to wander off and never found it. Used it about 10 times. Spent more time looking for it after we lost it than we had time to use it. Not my first rodeo. CONTROLLER WON’T HOLD PHONE SECURELY The first thing that struck me with this drone was trying to put my phone in the holder. I would have to take it out of the case and quite frankly given the fact it had a tendency to pop out of the holder, because it was a tight fit, seemed a ridiculous risk for my phone. Endangering a $1000 device (Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G) for one that cost under $200? I might use an old phone that we did not trade in, that is smaller and I don’t care if it is broken. SETUP: The phone app was easy to download and install and the instructions for connecting it to your phone worked well enough. The interface looked fairly polished. One complaint is unless the symbols you are using are standardized, we need words to guide us. When the drone is wandering off and we are panicking we don’t need to have to also guess at the symbols. Especially the ones for emergency landing and turning off the drone. With no propeller guards if this is headed into people I need to be able to turn it off….IMMEDIATELY. USAGE: Initially I connected everything while precariously balancing my phone and I got the drone to take off using the take off/landing button. However, that was the only time that button worked. Subsequent times I had to use the joystick controls to do this. Brought the drone up and tried a few options. It seemed stable on take off but the only options I felt were reliable were the basic joystick controls. The return to home option did not work, nor did the one key return. At one point in time my boyfriend tried it and the drone wandered off on him. He may have been trying the Point of interest option. If it was working, the radius of the circle was in excess of 50 feet. Thankfully it was low enough and a crash into some trees took it down, otherwise it would be another wandering off casualty. SUMMARY: We plan to use it more but so far unimpressed. Phone won’t stay in the holder, so I’m going to replace it with an old one that doesn’t matter. Most people can’t do this. Lift off button doesn't work after first usage. Why? Already took off on its own the 4th time we flew it. Gives me pause on its reliability. I can’t speak to the picture quality, as I had a death grip on my phone when using this drone. Never had a chance to get pictures. And really if you think about it, why else would you have a drone. I will review this again when I have some more time to spend, but the less expensive drone that we lost was a bit more reliable at this stage than this one is. I fully expect to lose this one, but my phone is not going to be a casualty. ... show more

This isn't the best drone in the world, but it's a solid option for novices who don't want to break the bank. I've used a couple of drones in the sub-$100 price range, and at $149 (at time of review) I'd say that the price of this one is fair. It's a little sturdier than the cheaper drones I've tried, and the camera is a little better. The controller, though, feels a little on the flimsy side (just as most do in this price range). I'm not sure how things work with the more expensive drones from brands you've heard of, but the pairing process for this drone is just as tricky as it is with the cheaper drones I've tried. It always works eventually, but I find I often have to try two or three times to get everything to sync up before I can take off. I was hoping that this feature would be a little smoother than the sub-$100 versions I've tried, but nope. All in all I'd say that this is a solid option for beginners. It flies well. The camera is OK (though don't raise your expectations too high). The controls work great once you pair everything up. I'll keep flying this one. ... show more
