I recently completed the build of the 20x12 version of this gazebo, and I wanted to share some key takeaways from the experience: 1. **Ease of Construction**: You can build about 95% of this gazebo by yourself. The only time I needed help was when connecting the 20ft beam to the side of the gazebo. The instructions were mostly clear and manageable for a solo build. 2. **Pre-Assembly Convenience**: I was able to assemble about 70% of the structure in my garage, which was a huge plus. This allowed me to avoid the heat and keep my lawn from getting damaged by scattered parts. 3. **Shipping Issues**: Shipping was a bit of a hassle. The boxes arrived on different days over a span of about two weeks, and one box was damaged. This resulted in another week's delay to receive the last box. However, customer service was responsive and helpful throughout the process. 4. **Assembly Challenges**: I encountered an issue with two of the roof slats not lining up with the screw holes. I had to drill my own hole to attach the bolt, which was a bit frustrating but manageable. 5. **Instruction Manual**: Some of the instructions could use improvement. Towards the end, I had to carefully plan some steps to ensure I could access all screws. One step would have required a bucket lift to reach the screw, which was not feasible. 6. **Finished Product**: The final build is fantastic. It's spacious, the colors are beautiful, and the curtains add a nice touch. My family loves it, and I highly recommend this gazebo. Way sturdier and nicer than the cheaper 10x20 pole tarp Costco carport I replaced it with. No comparison if you can get one. I got mine on sale around $1200 so at that price it’s really worth it so I never wished I got the wood gazebo. Assembly is a 2 person project but it creates a space you want to hang out in. It’s totally waterproof inside but the rain gutters leak badly at the seams. The curtains do seem like a good functional match but I ended up not using them. If you do make sure you put the correct number of hooks in the right track otherwise you have to take it apart. If you have a lot of heat you may want to paint the roof a lighter color before you install as black metal gets hot - but for me it’s hasn’t been a real issue. Doesn’t move in the wind and I bought matching column risers that made it about a foot taller so I could park a lifted Jeep under it. ... show more

This is easily the most carefully packaged product I have ever received. It arrived in 5 large and heavy boxes. Have a dolly or some help on hand to get these where you need them. The packages were built to take care of the contents and they did their jobs well. All parts are very well labeled and easy to find. Hardware was great. Plenty of spares if you do need some. Instructions were great. Easy to follow and easy to assemble. I did this project on my own for the most part. I had one person help me put the frame up to assemble and to hold the upper vent roof to assemble. So, aside from that 30 minutes of help I put the rest together on my own. It wasn’t difficult but it was time consuming. I spent the whole weekend doing it. But it is very possible to do it on your own save for the two instances I mentioned. This project was a game changer for my backyard. It looks awesome and the material is very strong and sturdy. It arrived damaged on one of the front posts but I contacted customer service and they replaced the post within a week. It took a few days to complete because of the weather. It snowed lightly the next day and melted with no water leaks. Follow the instructions and you will be just fine. Great Product!!!!! ... show more

We love it. A friend put it together with his son. Took about 15 hours total over 4 days or so. We bolted it into our concrete patio in May 2024 and after many winter storms, high winds etc. it hasn’t moved a bit and still looks great. The zip screens and curtains that come with it are clipped in with little plastic hooks. They have all been broken by our storms. They were cheap anyway and I’m looking forward to buying nicer looking ones. Here is what ours looks like. I do recommend it if you can/have an installer. ... show more
