    • Perfect Inexpensive and Rugged First Watch For 10 Year Old!

My 10-year-old asked for a digital watch with backlight and stopwatch functions. I didn't want to get anything too expensive as a first watch in case it got lost/broken. This was perfect. It is inexpensive and surprisingly also very rugged. We love the oversized look on the wrist. It fits an adult but it is not too big on her either. It's been a couple of months now and still going strong. She loves it (especially the purple accents) and wears it daily. The functions are all there but some of them are less intuitive to navigate to. She mostly just uses the backlight and has an alarm set for the morning bus. It also beeps every hour (even through the night) and it can only be turned off if you turn off all sounds/alarms... That's not the greatest but the beeps are not very loud so we just keep the watch outside the bedroom at night so it doesn't disturb anyone. ... show more

This is one product I was excited to do a review for. I usually buy G-Shock but they can be pricey and after a year or so the color starts to fade and doesn't look so nice. I searched here and found these watches. All I can say is first impressions was WOW! and for 1/5 of the price! I can't five a long term longevity of the watch since I just got it but will update if it surpasses my expectations. Firat off, its ten times easier to set the time than a G-Shock and the light is so much better also. Secondly, It has a function to have 12h or 24h just by pressing a button. The analog time came be set separate also if you go out of town and want two different times you can which was kinda great, which the G-Shock doesn't have. Third, it has a "I'm a badass" look and comparing both watches, it has a bigger face which I like. I am very hard with my hands. I shoot alot, I do projects around the house, build things and very tough on my watches so I cannot compare the durability of this watch compared to the G-Shocks i own. I do know my G-Shocks have lasted many years and been through hell and back and still function (don't look pretty) great. If this watch lasts 6 months I'll be impressed...time will tell. ... show more

The face is bigger than expected and it’s kind of frustrating to set up. Otherwise, the quality is good doesn’t seem flimsy or cheap… picked it because it was purple, and finding a purple sports watch seems to be more difficult than expected

Okay, lets not kid ourselves here, this is your basic 20 dollar watch. That being said, it's also alot of fun and all functions work as advertised. The light up portion of the watch glows the brightest green, and I've had more expensive watches that couldn't match the glow of this one. The hands of the watch have a glow in the dark feature as well. The hands are nice and big and bold, and instead of having to adjust your eyes to see the digital numbers on most watches these days, it's refreshing to have the old school watch hands and numerals as well as having the digital readout. Nice loud chime at the start of every hour if you wish. For those reviewers that say this watch is too big or huge, I did not find that to be the case for me, although the watch face is larger than normal. I'm liking that the strap is wide and has two pronged clasp, it will make it more durable in my opinion. The Black/Grey combo makes an otherwise boring watch strap have a bit more "Pop" and originality. Other people have mentioned that the digital time and the watch hand time do not stay in sync for long, and so far that also hasn't been the case with mine. Overall this is a fun 20 dollar watch that will last you until the next impulse watch you'll get after this one. Impressed me enough to buy two more for inexpensive Christmas stocking stuffers! ... show more

I like a watch with a second hand. It’s quicker and easier than setting the chronograph. That said, I have not had the watch long enough to critique the time keeping of the watch. The price of this watch is entirely reasonable. The instructions clearly state not to press the buttons underwater or in the shower. I can live with those restrictions. The part that is somewhat disappointing is the digital display. It’s rather dim. Given that I work the night shift, that could be an issue. ... show more
