I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. I hung it on my screened-in-porch and it’s the perfect length. If you lock it in place there is very little stretching. As you can see in the photo, I can get multiple sheets hung on it at a time when fully extended and it’s thick enough to support blankets. It is slightly slippery at the ends, so I just use a clothespin they send with it to secure each end. Very easy to install as well. I’ve been using it for several months and no issues whatsoever. Every now and then there's an item that needs to be hung up, either to finish drying or to just prevent wrinkles. I bought a drying rack for my wife last year for all of her delicates, but I wanted a simple option for the laundry area of our house. This is the perfect fit, it's small enough to be out of the way when not needed, but strong enough to hold several items and let them hang, out of the way. Installation into drywall is a snap with the included drywall anchors, and I had this up in a few minutes. It says the cord can be used up to 13 feet, but we're only using about 6 feet, (the space our washer & dryer occupy in their nook) and it locks up nicely when either retracted or stretched across the area. The media could not be loaded. It’s pretty solid the way we have it secured and it hasn’t fully broken or snapped when weighed down. Where it lacks is when you click it into “lock” it gives way to much slack, so everything slides to the middle. The retract doesn’t work without assistance after about a month of use but it’s not a huge deal. ... show more
