Description

The product that started it all. Original Gorilla Glue built a name for itself with its incredible, industrial holding power and versatility. The water activated polyurethane formula expands into materials to form an incredibly strong bond to virtually anything making Gorilla Glue your solution for almost any project or repair.Directions: All surfaces must be clean and tight fitting. Wear gloves to avoid skin contact. Gorilla Glue will stain skin and ruin clothes.1. Damp It: Gorilla Glue is cured with moisture. Lightly dampen one surface with water. For non-porous surfaces (glass & metal) and dense hardwoods, scratch up surfaces first and lightly dampen both surfaces prior to gluing. Do not add water to bottle. 2. Glue It: Spread a thin layer of glue on other surface. Do not over-apply glue. Gorilla Glue will foam 3 to 4 times in volume. 3. Clamp It: Clamp objects together for 1-2 hours. You can use heavy objects to achieve clamping pressure. Strength of bond line improves with better clamping. Full cure in 24 hours Storage: After each use, wipe nozzle clean with a dry cloth and tightly replace lid. For bottle sizes 4 oz. and larger, we suggest squeezing excess air out of the bottle. While still squeezing, tightly replace the cap and then store in a cool, dry place. This helps eliminate moisture in the bottle. Store in a cool, dry place. Store away from children and animals.Click on Visit the Gorilla Store at the top of this page to find more Gorilla Tough products. • Amazing - was not expecting it to be expanding foam
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
The way this stuff works is, you apply it, spray it with a little water, then wait. The glue expands into a super hard foam similar to the spray foam you might use around your house to fill gaps, etc. But this stuff dries way harder. Because it's water activated, you don't have to worry about it drying inside the tip and gumming it up. And it seems similarly resistant to drying out inside the bottle. I used it. Then, a month later, I used it again with no problems. The glue flowed out easily. If you are gluing foam, there is nothing better than this. I haven't tried it on other materials, but it seems like it would work well. You do have to wait, then trim away the foam that expands out once it's dry. For the above reasons, I recommend buying a water spray bottle and box cutter / knife to use with this. ... show more

  • It’s gorilla glue
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
How can you go wrong with gorilla glue, the stuff is fantastic and can fix anything. Obviously fair warning that it expands after use so be careful when sticking it in right crevices as it won’t stay there if you use too much.

  • Effective but not clear
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
Likes: Love the adhesion once it's dry- dries like a rock and can hold light weights well Dislikes: Glue bubbles up, isn't clear (it's a tan/light brown color and bubbled in appearance) and you have to hold the surfaces together for 2 hours to form the bond/adhesion Use: I used this to glue a shelf in a DIY greenhouse in my apartment. Once the glue dried, it works great and stays in place BUT I had to find some way to hold up the shelf on the glue for two hours without completely deconstructing the greenhouse so that wasn't expected. Now holds up plants great though ... show more

  • Great glue for bonding plasitc to wood, metal or other materials.
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
I use it mostly for installing plastic hinge pins in my large model airplanes. I dampen the hole in the bulsa wing, then dip a dab of Gorilla Glue on the tip of the hinge pin and insert it into the hole. The glue will expand and fill in the gaps between the wood hole and the ridges of the ribbed hinges. Since the glue is very slow acting, it givs you plenty of time for adjustments and clean up. Any glue that foams out into the lubricated hinge area can be quickly wiped away with a damp paper towel. It is wise to firmly tape or clamp the surfaces since the glue can provide a little hydraulic pressure to push the pine outward. If it is taped or clamped firmly enough the glue will ooze out for easy cleanup. I have never had a glue failure with Gorilla Glue, not the same with super glue and epoxy, both are fast acting and require quick adjustments and difficult clean up when spilled or put in the wrong area. ... show more

  • Water activates this initially and causes it to expand
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
be prepared for a cleanup as this stuff expands like foam as it's activated. Great for certain situations. I used it to dowel a hollow metal chair leg together that had broken off at the seat. Also, squeeze as much air from the bottle after using before putting the cap on. I believe humidity in the air can activate it and cause the entire bottle to hatden. It happened to me. ... show more

  • Best stuff on the market
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
You have to use caution, this stuff will expand. But the adhesion is next to none

  • Excersise extreme care and caution for more intricate projects.
Size: 1 - Pack Style: Original
The glue bonds well, but takes forever to bond. This makes it very difficult to use for certain projects that you can't clamp with weight, and you can rely on holding something down with your own hands or another item because the glue expands and gets everywhere. It's relatively easy to clean off skin, but it leaves a sticky sensation for hours afterwards. Very difficult to clean off of projects, as it tends to just be spread, or get other things stuck to your ite s in the rare occasion it bonds quickly. Because there's no option for a smaller or skinnier nozzle, it makes it a bit difficult for projects involving smaller pieces as it's hard to spread a very thin layer. I am currently using it to assemble a resin kit, and will have picture examples of both the good and the bad to post when it is completed. Update: So far with ever project I've worked on with this glue has either expanded and bubbled in the worst, most visible spots possible, or ruined the paint, or bonded incorrectly, resulting in a piece leaning a bit further than it should. Every gap caused by this is of course covered with a sickly yellow goop. On top of that, I'm going to have to waste MORE money buying my usual gorilla super glue(that, by the way, I can never get to the end of a bottle because it dries up halfway through) in order to assemble the wire cage dress on my second project. ... show more
