    • These are my favorite grow lights, use several in my indoor garden.

These are my absolute favorite grow lights. They are the only ones i will buy from now on. I’ve tried other brands and i have to say, these are so far the best I’ve purchased for several reasons. The color temperature is perfect, it’s not too warm even though it has a few red chips. Thats hard to get right and other brands have a pink tint or flat out purple. That pink light may be okay for flowering and fruiting plants but if you have mostly tropical plants, succulents, cacti or foliage plants then they aren’t really going to benefit much from that and might not get what they need. Of course all plants need a full spectrum of light to photosynthesize and thrive, but the blue light is more important for the most part. These lights provide the perfect balance and I’m not just saying that after one week of use, I’ve been using these all year and my plants love them. I noticed a huge difference within the first two weeks in terms of growth, overall health of the plants and my succulents are more colorful. No more stretching or leggy plants. The two heads make it very easy to cover a large area and crane the light where i need it. I have a large plant room / indoor garden with over 200 plants so I need a lot of lights and these are very affordable, effective and cover a large surface area when you utilize the light properly and get the correct distancing from the plants. Note, your plants DO NOT need to be directly up against the lights, you will burn them. They should be about 6 to 8 inches away in most cases, succulents can be a bit closer if they are full sun varieties. I use these lights for succulents, pothos, philodendrons, monsteras, palms, zabrinas, string of things like hearts, turtles, pearls, bananas, and a lot more, just to name a few. All my plants really love these lights and if I forget or skip a few nights then it’s noticeable. These are pretty bright when turned all the way up, sometimes I will run them at half strength if a plant is sensitive and hasn’t been acclimated to the light yet or if I just sprayed them for pests but in general I use them at full power. My lower light plants go more towards the back and the full sun loving varieties take a front row seat. You should build up to the amount of time your plants have under grow lights if you are a beginner so as to not burn your plants that may not be used to it yet. So start with 3 hours, than after a week or two maybe go to 5 or 6, and so on. They have built in timers but I override them with my own plug in timer because I find the presets very inconvenient. For example, the timer options are 4, 9 and 12 hours. Most of the time I need them for 6 hours because my plant room in a south facing room with many large windows so they get ample light for most of the day, I am just supplementing in the evenings. Still, that’s a huge jump from 4 to 9 hours with nothing in between. Not really a big deal and its a person preference but just something I wanted to take note of and I’d like to see more timer options in the future. The clamps are very secure, easy to move around when I need to, ( you can clip them to a table, shelf, plant stand or even a tripod, really anywhere.) and the goose neck style lamps are easy to bend and angle the light exactly where I need it. Over all, these are fantastic! Great value, great product and mine do not get hot. I have several of these running for 6 hours a day most days but they sometimes run 9 or 12 on rainy days, mine personally have not gotten hot, only the plugs get a little warm. Note, I have the 50 watt options, I never purchased the 100 watt, didn't think it was necessary. Sometimes more is not better and it doesn’t have to be as bright as the sun to be effective(unless you are doing seedlings lol) I have a feeling the 100 watt would be too much and burn my plants. You’d be surprised how much these 50 watt lamps put off and I have even placed plants several feet away and they are still benefiting from the light. I have a few of these 100w lights for my jade plant collection and they love it! I’ve seen so much new growth and and new branches sprouting. Make sure to keep them well far back from the plants, at least 6 inches, probably even closer to 12 inches, to avoid burns. I had an incident with someone cleaning in the area accidentally pushing them too close to the plants, and some plants got some significant burns and dropped a bunch of leaves, but that’s user error, not the light’s fault. Luckily I also had some Keiki Cloning Paste that worked wonders to grow back the lost leaves. I think the cloning paste combined with these lights saved those plants, and now they’re on their way to looking better than ever, growing very quickly. Helps with growing back pruned plants quickly as well. I have these lights (100 w) on for 12 hours a day in addition to the plants being in a south facing window that gets just a couple hours of sun a day. I also use Miracle Gro cactus and succulent fertilizer about once a month. Docking a star because while three of the four’s timers work perfectly, staying on for 12 hours, turning off for 12 hours, and then turning back on for another 12 hours, etc, one worked for a few weeks and then the timer stopped functioning properly. It will turn off after 12 hours, but will not turn back on again. If I had wiring skills, I’d remove the timer block and just put them on a smart plug timer as many reviewers suggested, but alas I do not. Luckily I’m still in the return window, so I’ll just return the offending light and replace it with a new one that will hopefully work properly like the three others I have. (EDIT: The timer started working again! After a handful of days of turning it on manually in the morning and resetting the timer daily, it started turning on and off properly again. No idea what happened, but pleased it’s working again!) TLDR: Highly recommend these for jade plants! I’ve never seen so much new growth and I’m so happy at how amazing and healthy my plants look, even in the fall with less natural light. The timer on one unfortunately did stop working properly, but the other three I have are fine. ... show more

When it was time to bring my lemon trees in for the winter, they really went into shock. So I purchased these lights to try and save them. I like the timer feature…I turn it on, and 8 hours later it turns itself off. Easy peasy. As you can see by my photos, my little guy stopped dropping leaves and there’s quite a bit of new growth! I believe I received these lights just 2 weeks ago, so I was very pleasantly surprised! My other tree (not shown) was almost a complete loss, but now he’s sprouting some new growth as well! I started both trees from seed, and they’re 2 years old, so I might baby them just a little. Lol. I mean, who in their right minds tries to grow lemons in Nebraska, right?? Anyway…they work great, the clip-on part is very sturdy and stable, as are the flexible arms. Very pleased so far. If they shoot craps in the next few months, I will update my review. I had a different brand of grow lights and you had to reset the timer every time you wanted them on, I had no idea these would turn on daily. It is an obvious function to have but I was used to my other lights! Pros Flexible cables Long lights for wide coverage 2 lights for twice the sunshine! timer function is a must have for this Cons The cable could be a bit longer, I was pretty close to not making it to the bottom of my shelf. It is more of a minor inconvenience on my part since I knew the distances I was dealing with but I thought I'd mention it so others think ahead. Overall, great! I went ahead and bought a second one!
